But wait there is more...Wenger will get a 2M raise.
Wenger is Legend, for sure he has Dragon balls.

About two weeks ago, I thought Arsenal strategy is to weather the public outrage, keep their mouth shut grind it out and hopefully get either FA Cup, 4th place to justify Arsene contract extension. With the FA draw next round and league result now though, I don't know if they could do it anymore. So the new strategy might be renew right away and try to salvage whatever we could hence all these media leak and such.

Arsenal deny reports they've approached Thomas Tuchel to replace Arsene Wenger. Spokesperson: "not true." #AFC #SSNHQ (1/2)
Arsenal reiterate that decision on Arsene Wenger's future will be 'mutual, communicated at right time in right way.' #AFC #SSNHQ (2/2)
Mutual! Hahahahahah! Arsene has you by the ball you *bleep*

"Right time in the right way" is literally just saying that they're waiting for better results to announce he's staying. Any time would be fine to announce he's leaving.

Re: #WengerOut - This is definitely the definitive opinion
A lot of players will want him to stay, because many of them owe their careers to him.
I wouldn't be at all shocked that Koscielny is very loyal to him, because Wenger gave him an opportunity at Arsenal where no other club of similar size would have. Being at Arsenal has gotten Koscielny into the French team and established him as one of the best CBs around.
Likewise, Giroud probably knows deep down that had he joined Bayern instead of Arsenal he would have been out the door within a couple of season. Wenger's faith/inability to bring in a better striker ensured Giroud a starting spot even when it was apparent he wasn't the level we needed him to be.
Players like Ramsey and Wilshere, who have retained his confidence even after all the injuries, and who got their starts under Wenger, and Bellerin and Iwobi, who broke through under Wenger, are probably very loyal to him as well. Walcott also.
The ones who aren't are Ozil and Alexis, who have come in as superstars and owe Wenger nothing, and Chamberlain, who likely feels hard done by. The players that were promised something, be it success or development time, but didn't get it are the ones actively pushing to leave.

Re: #WengerOut - This is definitely the definitive opinion
A lot of fans do too. After ten years, it's clear that moving to the bowl was the spiritual death of the club. I think a lot of people need to grasp this.
The sell was competing with Europes elite but it was a lie to increase their share prices. The gentrification of Arsenal is on another level and it was very well orchestrated; ticket pricing, targeting of corporates & local gentrifiers, creating the family areas, zero tolerance stewarding etc. Now with the army of Tarquins and tourists - Almost all AKB by default - Wenger's position will never be truly threatned. The fans, the board, the players & the manager are actually all pretty content. The only way AFC becomes a competitive club again is a sugar daddy take over which isn't going to happen any time soon and by any time soon I mean generations:
The Arsenal share price has doubled since Kroenke bought the majority. In that time, the club has not come close to winning a title. As long as Arsenal remains in the Premier league, with a filled out stadium, he literally cannot lose given the new TV deal. UCL money is not worth as much as it once was.The investment it takes to be successful far outweighs the return, we are going the way of Kreonkes other franchises; better to not invest or make the minimum investment. AW is complicit in this vision but the problem will continue after he's gone. The current level is what the club is now and there's really nothing we can do about it.
For all you foreigners sorry, you picked the wrong team Fellow Britons I suggest you find a second team in the lower leagues. Arsenal FC is dead.

Recent reports from the Guardian suggesting a new deal has been signed, Arsenal are waiting for the right time to announce it, and genuinely believe it's only a vocal minority that are Wenger Out.
Never seen a club so far up its own arse
There are now stories about squad overhauling and war chests. The placating has begun already.

I felt, for a while, the deal had been signed and dusted but that our form took such a nosedive at the turn of the year that there wasn't a reasonable time to announce it.

Re: #WengerOut - This is definitely the definitive opinion
It's really bad news.
Leaving now would have been a possibility to get out of this with his head still somewhere high.
Another 2 years and this is going to get real, real ugly. Very possibly no CL.
Can't see it getting better with the constant noise around the team and the obvious issues in the dressing room.
Top 4 is not going to be easier next season.
And obviously Wenger will not take Arsenal far in an EL capaign either.

The board is destroying the club with their incompetence. How can you justify a new two-year contract after the last 2 seasons?

.'Wenger told BeIN Sports contract offer from PSG, : 'It is a false rumour, that is what you call 'fake news'. I formally deny it, it is not true
Its funny because no big club would want this guy anyway.

What is Arsene Wenger thinking? Examining the psychology behind the biggest decision of Arsenal boss' career
How does Wenger begin to weigh up divorcing himself from such a prominent part of his life after so long? The Independent spoke to a leading sport psychologist to find out

Re: #WengerOut - This is definitely the definitive opinion
Xhaka was asked abour Wenger
Are you convinced that Wenger will stay?
Yes.
Why? Is it the love for football?
I can’t answer that. I only know that he is an outstanding manager, an outstanding guy, very open and direct. Unfortunately in football only the current state is examined and what was yesterday, in the past years, is forgotten. The people demand a title from Arsenal, above all the Premier League. But they forget we had to integrate a couple of new players – and that no coach manages to win the league title with a lot of new players straightaway.

I'm sure a new coaching set-up is going to make Wenger a great manager again
It's not like we've attempted something like that before *cough* Bould *cough*.

Ivan Gazidis met with fans in a fan forum this morning. Reportedly said "the last six weeks have been a catalyst for change". Sky were going big on the comments before and after the game, but stressed it doesn't necessarily refer to the manager.
Now there are rumours of Gazidis resigning.

"Catalyst" for change is totally innocuous. Wenger has said it six billion times and gone as far as saying he wants to "re-invent" himself. This is sensationalism unless it was in the context of something that seemed more directly related to Wenger's position.
