Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 4
I watched the pilot and 2nd episode. Kinda what I thought it would be when Kurt Sutter decides to do a medieval TV show: extremely visceral violence and blood.
Beyond that, the plot is only mildly interesting for me so far. I'll keep watching to see how it turns out.
This is definitely no relation to Game of Thrones though.

Even now there are people who throw pizzas at Walt's roof regularly.
Fandom can be weird at times.

Justin Roiland @JustinRoiland 1 minute ago
Tomorrows episode [of Rick & Morty] is going to be VERY polarizing. I love it. I'm gonna own it. I love my brother @danharmon
Given how much some of the episodes have already upset people this should be interesting.
EDIT:
Justin Roiland @JustinRoiland 5 minutes ago
To be clear: tomorrow's episode won't be tugging at ANYONES heartstrings. It's 1/2 me drunk rambling nonsense and 1/2 a comedic B story.
So Rixty Minutes 2.0.

Drama Supporting Actor- Jonathan Banks (Better Call Saul)
Drama Supporting Actress- Lena Headey (GOT)

Love how we always laugh at BB and anything related to it nominations
And then M99 comes in and posts something sarcastic
And then BB or anything related to it ends up winning alll the awards and then they are the ones having the last laugh

Will be dead if Better Call Saul wins. Hope it does, the reactions in this thread will be worth it.
But seriously, Mad Men not winning will be a travesty. Just like if Breaking Bad did not win last year it would have been a travesty.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 4
I am with M99 though, BB deserved most if not all their awards.
The biggest farce is Miguel Sapochnik not getting nominated for directing the Hardhome episode.

It's GOT department's fault. They are the ones who submit episodes to the Emmys. They nominated episode 6 for directing Imagine submitting this

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 4
GOT dominates on it's weakest season. Feels like they are making up for lost awards. I feel Lena Headey should have won Best Supporting Actress. Sad that Mad Men could not win, at least Jon Hamm got Best Actor
Dinklage's reaction to winning

TV awards
Watched it, such a disgrace every year. And it's impossible to judge anything when you can't possibly watch every show.
Viola Davis winning smh.. Not even a lead or the best in that category

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 4
There's a couple of reasons:M99 wrote:GOT dominates on it's weakest season. Feels like they are making up for lost awards. I feel Lena Headey should have won Best Supporting Actress. Sad that Mad Men could not win, at least Jon Hamm got Best Actor
Dinklage's reaction to winning
Breaking Bad is finallyoff the air.
The awards are for individual episode submissions and not the season as a whole, so while some episodes were very weak, this season also had some very strong ones (some of the best rated ones on imdb for instance)
The pool of available voters has been expanded this time around, which means more of the voters have not actually seen the episode submissions and are just voting based off fame.
