Canada
interested to see how Larin (last years first overall pick in the MLS superdraft) does in his first major tournament with the National team
Jamaica and El Salvador are winnable games imo

So far so good. Up 2-0 against Guatemala. I really hope we can hold on to this...

Yeah, Guatemala need to keep being quite generous. Enjoying the football a lot particularly since we are actually winning.

Excellent first half, abject second half, Guatemala should have even have a penalty. With that being said, booya

Re: Gold Cup 2015
Well, all I gotta say is that Pinto (Honduras & ex. Costa Rica manager) keeps displaying his genius. Who else deploys a 5-4-1 with a highline? USA struggled to get out of their turf in the 1st half but still managed to find a rebound from a CK attempt. I'm calling Honduras the dark horse of the tournament. It's not easy making US look bad on home turf.
Guatemala started bad but looked better in the second half. Really wanna see Haiti go for that 3rd spot but it looks like Guatemala's getting it.

Re: Gold Cup 2015
Haiti the far better side so far against the US. The players may well use the sod as an excuse but the fact of the matter is this US team is playing very poorly regardless of the surface in these opening 20 minutes.

7 changes from the last match with a completely different backline, I think.

Re: Gold Cup 2015
A win today can see my lovely country in the quarters for the 1st time since, I don't know, forever (sometime in the very early noughties to be exact). Hopefully Cuba left some of their players at the airport today.

Re: Gold Cup 2015
Out of curiosity, why leave your country place to "Private" then state your nationality in a post?

I never saw my country's flag in the profile set up thingy so I just left it as private. Wasn't an actual "I don't want anyone knowing where I am from" moment but more a "I'm not seeing the flag, meh, small mercies."

Re: Gold Cup 2015
Despite being incredibly shaky in set pieces, a nice first half and a solid 2-0 lead. Also, thank you RedO and RO for the flag, very much appreciated.

Re: Gold Cup 2015
Neither Mexico nor the US look like particular favourites at this stage of the competition. T&T the real winners from Mexico's draw with Guatemala though.

Re: Gold Cup 2015
I would admit RedO, whenever our country faces Mexico and th US, we tend to crumble really fast particularly against the latter. Mexico really isn't inspiring anyone though so maybe a draw would be possible.
Didn't realise our Caribbean "neighbour" in Jamaica beat Canada, heard they even deserved to win by more. Wasn't as winnable as BMac thought.

Re: Gold Cup 2015
Yeah I only watched the last 30 minutes, but Jamaica looked much better.
Usa at least has the excuse of the 7 subs against Haiti. Mexico just showed complete lack of creativity last night. Cross after cross.
