Cavani? I don't think he was referring anything to Cavani here. The first person who came to my mind was Berardi. Maybe Sapanora too. He was emphasizing on ITALIAN players a lot.

“Our main objective is to build a group that is ‘Made in Italy’ to give us guarantees and consistency based on top level professionals.

A week ago he said Cavani is interesting and worth investing.

etc etc.

Saponara is an option yes, I would say Zeilinski also.

The thing is that there's no way Juve can compete financially with the EPL for Cavani... let alone pay Cavani's wages if he came for free. Let's get real here. He gets 10 mil euros net of taxes in wages. How in the world is Juve going to pay that. Not to mention Arsenal, Chelsea and Man United are all inquiring about him.

You're also assuming PSG are willing to sell... which they won't be as Ibra is leaving.

Тrue, our biggest advantage is that even he father said he wants Italy and Juve if he is to leave PSG. Now there were reports that we as club are willing to give him that + money from the salary as signing fee and bonuses with the first one being the accepted solution from him according to Agresti. He doesn't care about the team or the money, he wants to be the main CF and fan favorite, always first choice something Juve can guarantee him.

I think Ibra will extend tbh.

Cavani wants to return to Italy. His father said so many times and so did he... Juve are not poor. You always think that Juve are not capable of competing with top teams and that we are still medicore and that we can't keep pogba etc.... Trust me, Juve can attract Cavani more than Real Madrid. Even though Madrid have more $$$, Juve is a better team. Our management is not an idiot like yours, spending 70m on a player who had 1 good world cup...

Agreed... everything about Cavani's transfer SCREAMS a move that the recent Juventus does not make

-Very high profile
-Very high wages
-Top dollar that could not yield return

Juventus' transfers are usually within a couple of groups
-The shrewd ones: Pogba, Pirlo, Vidal, Tevez type transfers. Low costs, end of contract, either "peaked" or "finished" players that redeem themselves

Up and coming players like Morata, Dybala, Rugani

Until this season Dybala screamed like a transfer Juve would never do, 40m for a player from Palermo? 25 milion for a left back? We proved we have power to spend BUT we spend on proven players or scouted and players we have faith in. Agnelli and Marotta said before New Year we have money to spend like we saved a lot also this summer BUT when we spend we spend smart and if we break the bank it will be for a safe option. Cavani is one. I am not saying we'll land him and I think it all depends on Morata if he stays or moves thou, but imo we can pay 50m for a player.

Things are changing and Allegri is pressing for quality players he makes it loud and clear in every press conference he wants quality players while Pogba, Dybala, Sandro must be kept. (said it today) and he'll extend. Marotta agrees even he said we can and will spend this transfer market

Marotta: 'Marchisio a Juve treasure'
By Football Italia staff

Beppe Marotta laments the injury of 'treasure' Claudio Marchisio, while inviting Max Allegri to continue at Juventus.

The midfielder tore his cruciate ligament in yesterday's 4-0 win over Palermo, meaning he will skip Euro 2016 and not be back presumably until mid-October.

“Unfortunately the diagnosis has been confirmed,” sporting director Marotta told Rai Radio 1. “It's a terrible injury that happened to a serious professional, a treasure of our Juventus.

“The recovery times are going to be long. This is something we did not expect. It's part of the game, but I hope he can return as soon as possible.

“His leg was stretched out and his foot got stuck in the ground. Today's football is different than it used to be, the clashes are more frequent and there are more injuries. Most of our players take part in international games as well, the stress of which contributes to them getting hurt.”

The sporting director then turned to a more positive topic, discussing Coach Max Allegri and his future.

Juventus are a great club and they have a duty to support the Coach. We did that with [Antonio] Conte and now we do that with Allegri, who deserves credit for bringing balance to the locker room and providing the right drive. He did a great job in managing the heritage of Conte.

“Allegri is a winner, who started a positive cycle with us. It seems logical that he should be given the chance to continue it. Juventus now have stability in Italy and in Europe, and he's an important part of that.

“Football as a spectacle must be revitalised in Italy, taking our examples from abroad. Many top clubs would like to modify the make-up of the Champions League. Our president follows these discussions very carefully.

“Juventus aim to keep winning in every competition. We don't intend to be extras in any show. We must look at our finances, but that's not the priority. Winning comes first.

“The club started with a €90m deficit, and now we're positive by a few million, while picking up important victories.”

bookmark my post, we gonna spend this summer. Remember that Smile Also don't get me started that Allegri said today that Dybala will and can play as Treq.

Yes, absolutely. Juve can spend 70m on a player if they want, but Juve have a smart management as we saw this summer. Some may say that 26m is too much on Sandro because he had an expiring contract, but he proved to be worth it, an excellent investment for the future. Today he actually was one of the influential players. We can spend 40-50m on Cavani, and the only question here is if he worth it at this age and with what we have in our hands. As devi said, Juve PROVED this summer that we can spend. Sportczy, please... We are not the Juve of 2010/2011, where Marrota wont increase the bid from 25m to 40m to get Aguero...
Also, look at the Draxler saga... Is he worth spending 37m? No, that is too much with his injuries and inconsistency of playing... That is why we didn't push for it and raised the bid.

IMO Dybala is best at the position he is doing now treq/SS, but I don't want to see him play BEHIND 2 attackers up front. He plays best like this, Del Piero, Tevez style. A true #10 IMO? Correct?

I'm sure that now we CAN spend like 40-50 mln on a player, last year transfers of Dybala and Sandro prove that.So it is clear than we can throw some money when we really need to and the player we talk about is well studied and likely to succeed.

Dybala was a good transfer but Alex Sandro's move proves that Marotta and Paratici really know what they doing. 26 mln for a player on his last year of contract mean they were convinced.

Our transfer policy remains the same as last two seasons. We will spend big for proven talents and add depth by low-cost or free players of experience.
We are not at the point where the best we could do is throw 15 mln for Vucinic.

As Marotta is saying we'll be hunting for talents in our ground (Italy),kinda Bayern strategy IMO.
If another Dybala emerges in Serie A we'll get him,if there is none player worth it we'll see what we can find in Europe but without having to sacrifice much in bidding wars with EPL clubs. And that's what we are doing with Mandragora,Sensi,Ganz etc deals.

As for Cavani I don't think we are going after him.Maybe we will try if Morata leaves but it seems impossible.
At same age we took Tevez but he wasn't wanted by any EPL big club, while for Cavani there is a big interes from them. Also Ibra is a question mark,if he stays I'm sure Cavani leaves,if not maybe he just stays there.

Marotta: 'Pogba and Dybala stay'
By Football Italia staff

Beppe Marotta assured “Paul Pogba and Paulo Dybala are not for sale, while we’d like to keep Juan Cuadrado” from Chelsea.

The director spoke to Mediaset Premium ahead of tonight’s Serie A clash with bitter rivals Fiorentina.

Follow the build-up and action as it happens on our LIVEBLOG.

“Pogba and Dybala are the core of the team, so we will not sell them. We only sell players who want to leave.

“The first objective this summer is to consolidate this group by keeping the best players, only then will we look at the market.”

Today La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed Juve had ‘booked’ Valencia midfielder Andre Gomes for next season at a cost of €25m.

“Andre Gomes? He is of interest because he is an excellent player, but many top European clubs want him too. He’d suit Juve well, but I don’t know if we’ll be able to sign him.”

Cuadrado is on loan from Chelsea, but there are reports Antonio Conte wants the Colombian winger back at Stamford Bridge next season.

“We’d like to keep Cuadrado, but we have to discuss it with Chelsea first,” noted Marotta.

“It’s only natural Conte will try to keep the best players. Cuadrado has been very important for us, so we’ll evaluate what can be done.”

Juve are consistently linked with Paris Saint-Germain talents Edinson Cavani and Javier Pastore.

“Cavani depends on whether PSG want to sell him. I am always talking about quality, as this has been our growth process, adding more and more quality each year.

“We’ll see, so much on the market is down to whether other clubs want to sell their best players. Juventus very rarely have sold their best, we only release those who ask to leave.”

More than who we bring in, I'm concerned about who will leave. We have too many midfielders already and we are signing 1 more.

2 of Asamoah, Pereyra, Hernanes, Lemina and Sturaro will leave. Padoin should be the one to leave but for some reason he was renewed.

1 of Mandzukic, Zaza and Morata will probably leave too.

Caceres will go.

Cuadrado maybe.

We'll come out good but it will be a shame to see this guys go.

I was reading about Vrsaljko linked to Juve and I think it would be a nice fit to replace Caceres/Cuadrado.
He's been one of the most reliable and consistent RBs in the league for years now, already familiar with the 3-5-2 due to his experience with Gasperini.

Bruno Peres is another solid candidate, but it's unlikely. Their president (Cairo) always exagerates on the sell prizes of his players and I'd figure he would ask a delusional amount if Juve were to inquire about the brazilian.

what I did not really understand before was that why do our coach choose a bunch of defensive minded players and 3-5-2 formation with guys like PELUSO, CHIELLINI, BONUCI, BARZAGLI, LICHTAINER, when we already had some good options to consider on the bench and switch to different formations

when I think of that today I believe its a good decision, the idea is that you shouldn't sacrifice defensive skills unless you have a really good reason to do it

lets just say that our formation is like this 5-3-2 or 3-5-2 call it however you like it

---------------- DYBALA --- MORATA --------------
---------- POGBA -- MARCHISIO -- KHEDIRA ------
SANDRO - CHIELLINI - BONUCI - BARZAGLI - LICHT

this is a genius idea

midfielders like GUNDOGAN, CUADRADO, OSCAR, ISCO , if these guys are doing good they are extreme expensive like more than 60 MILLION like POGBA is so if they are doing good it is impossible to bring them, and if they are doing bad its not worth to bring them

I think JUVENTUS should try talents like they done with POGBA, but no need to spend money on expensive players we better bring players like PELUSO and wait until someone like POGBA succeed

I was thinking today, is Mandzukic worth benching for Cavani ? I don't know if the latter can warrant such a big of a difference...

On the other hand, if we take into consideration Allegri's recent comments about Dybala being able to play as a trequartista, perhaps he hints that if Cavani was to come he would partner Mandzukic up front with Dybala behind them instead of Mandzukic being benched.

Mandzukic Cavani
Dybala

Now all of these are hypothetical but if we were to sign Cavani how would you guys use him?  In my opinion the above forward line-up could possibly be lethal.

That forward line may work because they are all really versatile. If those 3 click then it would be absolutelly lethal but you never know.

TBH I don't see Dybala as a pure trequartista. For all his link up play he scores a lot more than he assists. His shot is one of his best qualities. Mandzukic has been doing everything right so he could probably create enough space for Cavani and Dybala.

In the end I don't think we'll play something so attacking as that. I think Cavani won't come and Berardi will join for Morata.

Something like:

 Mandzukic/Zaza
Dybala--------Berardi

or

Mandzukic/Zaza----Dybala/Berardi

I understand your concerns mate but Dybala playing as a trequarista doesn't mean he will not be as effective as he is now, who knows he could end up scoring/assisting even more. We've seen trequartisti score loats of goals before. Now if Allegri has changed his mind about Dybala from not being able to play as a trequartista to a possible conditate for the spot, he must have realised Dybala's potential at that role. Also with the work-rate and pressing both Cavani and Mandzukic do I don't think that the above line-up is that attacking hmm

(Sky) Juve, pronta offerta per André Gomes del Valencia: 30mln + circa 20mln di bonus. Ma il suo agente non è convinto di portarlo in Italia

Juventus's offer for Gomes is €30m + €20m bonuses (difficult to reach). [Di Marzio].

30 + 20 million is our offer for Andre Gomes :O

Yeah we 'don't' ahve money ...

Juventus have announced they activated their option to buy Mario Lemina permanently from Olympique Marseille.

The 22-year-old midfielder had been on loan this season with option to buy for €9.5m.

This evening the Bianconeri released a statement confirming the club has bought him out from OM.

Lemina signed a contract until June 30 2020.

The payment will be staggered with €3.5m to be paid by May 20, €1.5m by November 30, €1.5m by February 28 2017 and another €3m by July 30 2017.

This season he made 11 competitive appearances for Juventus, scoring two Serie A goals.

Yeesssss I wanted this deal to happen.Lemina will be really important next season. We will probably sell Pereyra and Hernanes.

As for Andre Gomes,I haven't seen him much but he looks like a perfect fit for this team, attacks, defends and is really good passer & dribbler, pretty much a complete midfielder like Marchisio.

We need two defenders now and see what's going on with Morata's situation.

Telelombardia claim Juventus have agreed terms with Valencia for Andre Gomes worth €35m plus bonuses.

Sky Sport Italia had already reported that Juve were meeting with agent Jorge Mendes and Valencia President Peter Lim.

According to this evening’s suggestions, an encounter took place this afternoon and quickly reached a basic agreement.

The transfer would be worth €35m plus performance-related bonuses.

Andre Gomes had also been linked with Napoli, but Juve saw him as the ideal addition to not only fill in for injured Claudio Marchisio, but also play in a variety of midfield positions.

The Bianconeri have already been active on the transfer market, as today they formally activated the option to buy Mario Lemina outright from Olympique Marseille for €9.5m.

Wow who is this Andre gomes? How good is he? I imagine that hernanes, pereyra /asamoah will definitely leave then. I am positive that pereyra will stay for now for tactical flexibility.
