@El Cujo - out of curiosity, how do you rate BuLi vs. PL?

I was just stating who all can play in that position and fellaini can if the players around him can make up for his lack of scoring. Not that I want it to happen.
Last season it didnt work because last season it was young who played on the left wing. Depay is a upgrade in that aspect, i mean in terms of goals from wings (at least thats what we hope).

I think they're just different. Probably very close to tied for 2nd and 3rd best leagues behind Spain. Maybe BuLi is currently a bit better or has been over the last 3 to 5 years or so but with the influx of money and even mid-table teams making decent signings I think that the PL will come back.
Why?

Well, your comments on Firmino carrying over his form and numbers. I was wondering if your opinion was that BuLi and PL are very similar, so much so that it is easy for an attacking player to carry things over.

Has anyone seen the size of Liverpool's squad? Wow. Sign of a team that have no idea what they're doing.

Re: Barclays Premier League 15-16 Discussion-v1
since suarez has left that Liverpool coach looks like he's improvising lol . Last summer he bought too many players ( 5-6 ? ) and amongst them Lambert. I've seen Lambert 4-5 times the season before and I knew he was going to flop. Then he went for balotelli, a gamble for sure but in that case you go all out and you stick with the guy for a reasonnable period of time before kicking him out.
You guys should not expect anything from Origi this year. Only WC players shine in their first season in the Pl. Benteke is a good buy tho. What about the midfield ? Is Firmino the only MF you guys will get ?

They could always loan a whole bunch of players out, like a certain other club does.

LOL, Chelsea routinely has one of the biggest squads in Europe.
And really good players that don't dress and get loaned out that were not brought up through the academy.
I see some players and forget that Chelsea still owns them.

This is a good point. Just ask Kick. About a month ago I was surprised when I found out Moses was still a Chelsea player.

Re: Barclays Premier League 15-16 Discussion-v1
Not comparable to Chelsea at all. Majority of the players out on loan are youth players that won't sniff the first team. Thought everyone had figured out our way of beating FFP by now? Our first team is quite small.
Liverpool on the other hand have Ings, Sturridge, Lambert, Origi, Balotelli, Borini & potentially Benteke as forwards ffs. All of those players have been bought in just over 2 years as well. That's just the strikers there's so much more other dross in their squad.
Terrible squad building by Rodgers. When you compare it to the job LVG has done it makes him look even worse.

Re: Barclays Premier League 15-16 Discussion-v1
Using Transfermarkt.co.uk figures, Premier League clubs have so far spent around £353 million this summer.
The record for one window is £835 million (which was last season). The three season's before, the total expenditures were £760 million, £610 million and £545 million.
Looking at that, I wonder if the total expenditure this summer will actually be on the lower side. I don't see the upward trend continuing, anyway.

Doubt it - most clubs seem to have done majority of their business up early. I think it will inch past 500m at best.

Re: Barclays Premier League 15-16 Discussion-v1
Judging by transfer activity so far, Chelsea remain favorites for the title, followed by Arsenal. City and Man Utd will fight for the 3rd spot, while Liverpool will buy MORE strikers next season after they finish 5th or 6th.

I'm fairly confident every top-6 club will make at least one more big'ish signing, that's another 100m+ right there.

Ok let's see. Chelsea seem set.
We could do with a C/DM or a striker, subject to someone becoming available. As things stand, there are no names credibly. We are at peace with not making any more signings.
Utd could do with a CB and maybe a DDG/Valdes replacement - about 50m let's say.
City is a wild card - they could go any which way and splash.
If you include Liverpool and Southampton in this mix, then yes, 100m is very much a possible spend.
