Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
I'm feeling Shadow of Mordor +Enslaved +Farcry mixed in with a bit of Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Colossus

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
What aspects of Shadow of Mordow out of interest ES?
My brother mentioned it as well but I didn't really see it.
I'm seeing aspects of Witcher 3 and Skyrim in there too tbh, bunch of different aspects of gameplay inspiration going on.

Oh right I was more thinking it resembles Far Cry in that way tbh.
Probably similar though.

Also Firenze I said this to RG but when you get something called a Cauldron quest do it.
Won't say what they are to spoil but they are fantastic.

I can see where he's coming from as you start as a kid, and train, go out in the wilderness etc

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
yep, it's incredibly similar to AC3. Basically everything about it. Besides enemy types. Traps, hunting and looting system. Right down to character animations when running and climbing. Early story seems similar too. Also the whole focus mode thing is basically Eagle vision. Like I said I'm still early on, explored and did side quests, yet to even do the proving stuff so hopefully it comes into it's own later but right now I'm not seeing anything original.

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
I really don't understand that but it's your opinion I suppose.
Then again judging the game before you do the proving is like judging the Witcher 3 on White Orchard.

Witcher 3 on white orchard sold me
Not that I have the same issues as Firenze. Never played AC3 so can't even compare. Really enjoying it so far personally.

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
TW3 never changes post White Orchard, not in terms of gameplay anyway.
I don't really have an issue with it. AC3 was a pretty decent game, I'm just saying I am not seeing anything too original yet but I expect that to change later on. Heard good things about the bosses/big machine battles.

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
It's fine i just don't see the comparison is all.
I enjoy it because the gameplay once you get further into the world is *bleep* amazing.
I'll honestly be surprised if you disagree and the story is genuinely unique and interesting and I the main character is awesome.
Obviously the world built is fantastic too and to my surprise pretty much all the side quests are good too so far.

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
It is tbh, although the bandit camps are quite fun.
Luckily the human fights are quite infrequent.
BTW the Story is getting really, really good for me. Far in a way surpassed my expectations so far.
