Horizon: Zero Dawn
Really looking forward to this, probably my favourite unannounced game.

We're thrilled to introduce our brand-new third-person action RPG, Horizon Zero Dawn! Watch the trailer above to catch your first glimpse of the game!
Horizon Zero Dawn is set in a lush, beautiful open world where nature has reclaimed the ruins of a forgotten civilization. It is a world where mankind is not the dominant species, and highly advanced machines sit at the top of the food chain. You play as Aloy, a young outcast from a tribal society, who has learned to hunt the machines. Intent on unraveling the many mysteries that surround her, Aloy embarks on a quest that will lead her to discover her own destiny.
Along the way, Aloy will face off against an entire menagerie of machines – some traveling in herds, others roaming in solitude, all of them presenting a formidable danger. You will need to learn their behaviors, attack patterns and weak points in order to survive. You must use the beautiful environments to your advantage, and employ stealth, agility, and cunning to approach your prey unseen.
Of course, you won’t be hunting unarmed in Horizon Zero Dawn. Aloy is capable of combining natural materials with machine parts to turn them into ingenious weapons, ammunition, traps, and tools. By cleverly using the right items at the right moment, you can exploit weak points and bring down even the largest machines. Unfortunately, the most dangerous machines aren’t necessarily the biggest…
Horizon Zero Dawn is scheduled for a 2016 release, and we’ll have additional details for you in the coming months.

It looks gorgeous and I'm a bit of a sucker for this type of setting, but I'll need to learn more about the gameplay and mechanics before I invest $60 in it...

I'm in love with it already lol, watched the trailer repeatedly
The music in particular is fantastic, hopefully the game actual musical score is as good.

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
Looks amazing. 10/10. Going to pre-order it now BUT
i'll need to see others play it first before I pump 45 quid in to it.
Nah srs though looks nice. But I will probably wait a month or 2 after release because there's so much I want to buy and i'd rather know it's worth it first.

MS was great, it wasn't as " surprising OMG " as Sony but the stuff they had was still great.

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
Rewatching the trailer brought up a couple of interesting questions for me...
It shows several local bits of environment getting altered/destroyed during the fight. I wonder if such changes will be permanent/persistent... if you leave that region while exploring and come back later, will the rock formation still be gone or will it reappear?
Also, we see two of the larger robots (like the one fought) walk by before the fighting starts and both have notable damage to their armor and sides. I wonder if that's just for aesthetics (the one that actually shows up to fight appears undamaged) or if damage will be persistent among some or all of the robotic creatures (particularly the larger ones). It would be interesting to run into a creature you'd fought and fled from before that still had lingering damage you had inflicted, perhaps giving you an edge in the new encounter.

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
They have already said that creature she fought was already damaged from an earlier fight with another tribe so in theory it could be a lot stronger if you face it at full strength.
It sounds very dynamic.

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
If the people from Witcher are part of the team then I would assume the world will have consequences of your actions
I don't think everything will be fixed if you go away and come back later and instead it should have repercussions of your doings early on.
Not sure about the 2nd thing. Shouldn't the damage be fixed over time when you haven't attacked? Maybe the robot can self-repair or something.

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
I don't know how many people from Witcher are on the team tbf.
They have quest designers, but whether that means that the decisions you make has a similar impact on the world and you is not something that's clear and neither is anything RPG related with the game.
They are being quite quiet about that currently, also you are not the only tribe in the game. I think what they are saying is another tribe tried to attack the creature and damaged it which left it in that state where the demo took place.
