Tbf Manquillo would not have been starting for WBA. Neither are good enough right-backs for us, I don't care which one stayed, glad that both didn't.

This.
Neither are decent. Clyne is decent, but you could do with a better back up.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015 - Pt.2
frrack...I was also the one who was saying, we could make do with Wisdom and Flano for the whole season, if that was the case that we would spend those 12m on Higuain or Lacazette

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015 - Pt.2
Simply put, Higuian isn't very good.
Lacazette is a lot like Icardi. We should throw a 32m bid on of those two rather than on Bentekkers. But we're Liverpool. So you know............
I'll stop talking but you can start.
Tell me how we're going to both win the premier league and fight for a 8th spot at the same time you beautiful indecisive nugget.

Higuain is better than Lacazette, Icardi or Benteke but he's not in our reach. Higuain somehow is becoming criminally underrated.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015 - Pt.2
With Van Persie seemingly out of the door, I'm afraid if any really desirable striker becomes available, Man United will pip us to them. Who knows, they might even go for Benteke. He isn't any worse than Bony, imo, and pretty much no one batted an eye when Man City bought Bony for £28m.

thats because if city bought any player for a fair price we would bat our eyes.

Well, it's not the price as much as the quality of the player. Bony is good, but not world-class. Yet no one seemed to question whether City should be buying Bony or not. I have this feeling that if Man United decided to buy Benteke, people would generally think it's a decent acquisition.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015 - Pt.2
I'm happy with that deal.
Hopefully this means we'll make one more big signing in this window. If QPR are getting something like £10m from this Sterling deal, it means that our net spend in this window has been pretty much zero.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015 - Pt.2
Manquillo is a very good player who'll end up having a Juanfran/Arbeloa-esque career. Shame we let him go. Looked like a great lad to boot as well.
Great that Sterling is gone. Just a shame we'll end up wasting this gigantic fee on the carthorse that's Benteke.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015 - Pt.2
It's funny that you actually think that Higuain is a bad player, when he's right up there behind Benzema and Lewandowski. He's an extremely good, reliable striker and there's nothing better out there...especially nothing better that would come to Liverpool.
A Firmino - Higuain - Coutinho would be the best front 3 (well, depending on how Sterling settles at City...) in England by a pretty decent margin. He's better than Costa.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015 - Pt.2
What's he done in his career to be compared to Benzema or Lewand?
He's an overhyped fool clearly because he was some sort of Argentine wonderkid that went to Madrid at an early stage and has flopped / done f*** all since.
Should be spoken in the same breathe as Benteke. But yeah, I guess he's "better than Costa"

Receive roughly 30m for Sterling. Splash it all on Bentekkers. GET IN LADS!!!!!!!!!!
