Really depends on your preferred type of game. It doesn't have the depth or or breadth of a Witcher game or the challenge of a Bloodborne, but if you just enjoy wandering the wasteland and blowing some shit up, it's a good time.

They use .45 ammo by default and don't pack the same punch as Reba II.

Reba, The Gainer, and Deliverer are my go-to's.

I was referring to Le Fusil Terribles.

That's a shotgun...

Combat shotgun, to be precise. Somehow, I thought it was a combat rifle.

Does it require a lot of grinding to level up?

I wouldn't call it "grinding" when you do level and many of the enemies scale with you.

Started it. Liking it so far.

Game has scavenging No Spent 90% of TLOU scavenging and it only had like 4-5 items to collect. You can collect anything on fallout 4 and that is bad. Specially since the game isn't even mine ffs.

Looks like I'll be spending quite a bit of time in it. Till i figure out what is important and what isnt anyways.

Be wary of scavenging of how you scavenge. Like Witcher 3 there is a limit to how much you can carry.

don't make the same mistake I did RG and waste time doing endless quests that seem like they have nothing to do with the story (mostly related to the various factions) genuinely spent about 10 hrs repeating same generic quests for the minutemen in the starting town before realizing they were endless, uses a radiant quest system.

Witcher 3 is a lot easier to maintain without constantly going over the top though, in Fallout it's really difficult to maintain without going OTT I was constantly dropping and replacing lol. I didn't have to do that in Witcher 3 really.

Don't blame the game because you decided to only put 1 point into strength, bro Razz

It's useful based on what it can be scrapped as. If you're modding armor/weapons or building a settlement and it says you're missing something like a screw then you should pick up an office fan or if you're missing oil then a gas canister or bar of soap.

If you upgrade your strength you increase your carry limit, plus there are perks that make it so you can run and fast travel even when over encumbered and there's a perk that makes your companion capable of carrying more.

While it isn't exactly time efficient, I would go out on missions and pick up as much valuable stuff as possible, go back to Diamond City or anywhere with vendors and sell all that crap when I was done. Have had 25,000+ bottle caps for the majority of the game. Useful if you need to buy ammo which is expensive as is.

you want to be breaking down every junk item via the settlement workshop and dumping the resources in that specific settlement

if you want, later on you can unlock perks that allow you to establish trade routes (which lets you use your entire resources at every settlement) if not the settlement workshop you dump resources in is the only one that has them so if you would have to travel and take them out of the workshop and into your inventory

tbh I only bothered building up 2 legit settlements, left the others bare bones

any junk item that has screws, aluminum, nuclear material, steel, ceramic and cloth are worth saving

I built legit settlements in Sanctuary, Red Rocket TT and Castle. My Castle is pretty damn massive, with 2k + electricity, 2k defense and 3 tall buildings with tons of stores, beds and whatnot Very Happy I've spent a silly amount of time breaking down items, in order to increase it's building capacity, lol. The settlement is so far past the original building limit, that the frame rate drops significantly whenever I enter it though. People are bugging out of their jobs and lights randomly turn themselves off :/

I'm a bit tempted to try and join Brotherhood of Steel in a new playthrough, as opposed to destroying them. They seem like such egocentric, warmongering, A-holes, though.

I built a legit settlement in Sanctuary, Starlight Drive In (was my favorite tbh, felt like I turned it into a little town) and Castle  but Castle was pretty well kept before you even need to tinker with it

its a shame because there were a lot of great settlement locations but I eventually just got tired by it all, swear there were like 30+
