That Riquelme couldn't beat a Robinho led team.

riquelme's performance was awful, he as a playmaker must score the winner or else should be considered as impotent playmaker, now i know the playmaker main duty, thanks Rebaño Sagrado

Robinho was still good in 2007. nothing funny about it.
Greece winning euro 04 is on par with Chelsea winning CL 2012.

In Germany, everybody is currently laughing at Schalke due to their manager decisions.

Greece put on a masterclass in defending and counter attacking at Euro 04, played to their ultimate strengths and achieved the unthinkable and, unlike Chelsea's CL win, didn't have millions of pounds worth of players to do it with. They didn't even play boring football that tournament, just very organised, very disciplined football. Don't see what's funny about that

Re: Which one is funnier? (Robinho / Greece 2004)
neither is funny....it only seems funny when people look at it in hindsight as it seemed to have gone against the grain. argentina had a fantastic squad, tevez, masch, messi, riquelme, aimar etc. but they were no match, absolutely no match for brazil and it was painfully obvious. they couldn't step up when the lights shined brightest, and like it or not robinho schooled them all day. robinho was a good player, not great, but had a lot of potential, off the field antics and bad agents messed him up.....
greece were tactically sound, and when that euro was taking place there was nothing funny about them winning. a bit frustrating, but not funny, they defended as a group and where very good in the air and from set piece situations. i appreciate wins like that because when so called great players can't do jack shit for their national teams, rather than fans accepting maybe they are not so great as perceived, they go about slandering both the national team by saying "well he plays on a garbage team", "well he'd have won if the striker on his team scored", "if the defender on his team did better" or they bash the competition "well the champions league is where its at"...
well guess what, greece did it at a big stage, with no stars, and no signing of new players, the so called best players today have more talent on their national teams than that greece side did, so when players can't do crap for their national teams its a strike against them imo, considering how much help they get at club level with regards to always signing big time players...
monaco beating depor like 8-3 or 9-3 in the ucl was funny, milan throwing away a 3 nil lead to a less than stellar liverpool side was funny, milan throwing a 4-1 lead to depor in ucl was funny...these weren't, at the time, it was just business

i think you saw the wrong match
robinho was well guarded & riquelme was the most fouled player in that match
brazil attacked less but more efficient than argentina

Re: Which one is funnier? (Robinho / Greece 2004)
being the most fouls means that the defenders worked hard on you, it doesn't justify losing imo. top players get fouled, that's the reality of team sports. anytime robinho had the ball on either flank in that game, even on the right where he's not really known to roam, you had a feeling something was going to happen , wasn't the same feeling with the argentines. robinho had a hand in 2 of the 3 goals(from both flanks) i remember that ball he played to vagner love for the third. i used to wish he played with that same attitude for madrid....the guy at one time was known to have good games with brazil

Re: Which one is funnier? (Robinho / Greece 2004)
Robinho is easily the most disrespected player on earth. He was very, very good in 2007. He was good in 2009,2010, and if we are going to be honest he could rightfully be the leading striker for Brazil right now.
He is just judged because he isn't Pele. Put him in Neymar's position and folks right now would be saying he is one of the best players ever.

Are you serious? Greece in 2004 was something like what Atletico was last year, master defending, great team work. Awesome tactics and ofc a bit of luck. They had balls and always had, I admire their hunger for a win and they are not afraid from anyone.

Poor robinho... He was a great player, but I don't know what happened to him with the fall of Milan.

Greece win was as epic as 300. Nikopolidis
Robinho was surrounded by prime Kaka & still prime Ronaldinho, nuff said.
Boateng vs Messi was funny.

except for riquelme, despite being the most fouled player in the match, he was the best argentina player, with his notably act was 1 shot hit the post & 1 great save by doni
what was disappointing me the most was others argentinian player like messi & tevez did not step up their performance although brazil players already busy tackling the riquelme
