This thread is a bit misleading. "The Real Madrid referee" implies that not all referees in Spain are Real Madrid referees. Which isn't the case.

Honestly wonder how different la liga would be if it wasn't run by Perez and all the referees were fair.

0 la liga in the last 7 years instead of 1?

Barca would probably have won it 14 times in those 7 years.

Barca would have 7/7 La Ligas with fair referees, but it doesn't just stop there, Messi would have 1 more Golden Boot, Cronaldo one less and Suarez one undisputed. Give fair LFP selection and Messi would have 7/7 La Liga best players instead of 6/7.

Perez needed to buy the ref. Just imagine that some 7 years ago we almost lost the league when Messi scored with his hand.

Watched yesterday and his ref was insanely atrocious.

3 Absolutely stone wall PKs he didn't call. 2 for Sweden, one for Italy. The Parolo one was not a PK, just Parolo losing his balance.

That on Parolo is the clearest penalty kick for me though
He gave me the impression to be a ref with no personality. defintely not adapted for a similar match

And he is supposedly one of La Liga's best refs. Sigh.

Y'all haters tbh. Lahoz decided pre-game not to award penalties and he didn't. Hands, fouls, you name it. He just refused to give them. He controlled the game very well, never let it get out of hand.

He didn't influence match because you deserved same number of penalties, of course I am not crying for the ref, but well even if there are 20 penalties you must give them
About the "management" of cards he was good, infact the match wasn't so nervous as it was in1st leg... players couldn't risk the red card. He begun to give yellow card already after first foul. Provably he reminded what it happened in Solna.
Anyway being wrong on so many penalty kicks is enough to talk about terrible ref

What did he do this time? I don't know for how long Lahoz has been active in his job, but I could've sworn that he was at the center of controversy, back when Robben was still at Real Madrid. The fact that he's considered to be one of the best referees in Spain is laughable, at best.

Yeah, didn't view any match today so I too wanna know what the dope of a ref did again.

Barca paying refs to screw Barca so they can still  keep the village club image of hardworking classy men while Madrid gets the demons in corporate suits image

Can't believe he will be one of the referees at the WC. How does he keep getting away with all of this? I usually have nothing against any particular refs but Lahoz should have been stripped of his privileges long ago. Not qualified to be an official referee
