Re: Transfer Rumours V6
So Enrique asked for Xavi's replacement and for a winger if Pedro leaves
I demand Andre Gomes and has Vietto already been bought?

I can't believe what I am reading
Lucho rejected Sevilla's offer for Douglas... A year loan (1M) with an option to buy (7M)
Bartra has imformed Barca that he will stay despite offers from Spurs, City, Porto and Bayern

I suppose this means he wants to come to Barca but doesn't want to come now and sit on the stands until winter and jeopardize his chances to play in the Euros. That or no one offered him the money which he demands. lol
In any case it would be great if he stays. In 1 year we can see if he regains his old form or if he's a pleb now and then decide to buy him or not.
Lucho has already rejected Ikay. So you can forget about him as long as the asturian is the manager. From the looks of it he only seems to rate La liga based players, which is fine, as long as he's asking for the legit players. Apparently, he wants a Xavi replacement, and he's asked for Iborra. Alternatively, Parejo or Darder. He thinks these players being spanish et al, also have the profile to seamlessly fit in to Barca's system (or should I say his system) from Jan onwards.
Not that I was ever a big fan of Lucho, but his insistence on bringing tier 2 LL players for Barca is getting on my nerves.
Messi making rookie managers treble winners. Unzué is to Lucho what ten cate was to Rijkaard. Everything else is a sham.

Well lets hope Abidal, Cruyff, and Laporta completely have last say on transfers and not let Lucho decide then. From La Liga the only 2 midfielders I would like for us are Parejo (he is solid) and Andres Gomes.

Is this opinion based on regular viewing of the player or highlights or selective sample? Because the opinions of the VCF fans seem to suggest they don't rate him at all. Danny potato's the nick given.

Barcelona prepare an 80+10M bid for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba (22). The player would stay at the Italian club for another year. [sport]

I watch allot of La Liga mafches and Parejo seemed solid when I saw hiim, didn't see him constantly though I'll admit.
And I think everyone at this point figures Pogba is gonna join us next season

Yeah that much is clear. The question is now whether Pedro leaves or not. Who would be your pick if Pedrito actually left?

If Pedro leaves I figure Munir/Sandro are good enough to back up MSN. We did fine with them as back ups for months when Surez was out, and both are a season more experienced

Let's not get dramatic. So far we haven't signed any of this shit players as Iborra, Parejo or Darder. Signing from la Liga though is a good strategy as it seems the strongest league right now and if the player is not from Madrid or Atletico, it can be reasonably cheap.
Last season signings were pretty good (except Mathieu in terms of value/quality), so let's wait and see.

Yeah... but the rumours say Lucho wants the club to sign a new forward if Pedro leaves. Who would be your pick outside of the club?

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
idk tbh, I would suggest the club look at the Dutch, French or German league for some young studs with high potential as oppose to going for big names. Realistically big name players would avoid playing here as they know they would get little to no game time (which is why I think Munir/Sandro/Adama are good enough back ups, as they won't complain about PT).
Not really sure off the top of my head who I would like to join us, I would have to give it some thought.
I will say I am not big on signing attacking midfielders like Coutinho, D. Suarez, etc to play the wings

80-90m is way too much for Pogba. I don't think he'll live up to the expectation if we do sign him, but I hope I'm wrong.

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
It's not just the fee. According to every report he demands € 12M net wages which would make him 2nd best paid player in the squad:
Main obstacle for transfer of Paul Pogba are his salary demands of 12M net per season, which would break the current wage structure. [ser]
He's an electoral weapon though so nothing sensible will come out of this.
Laporta (presidential candidate): "I think that, if I become Barça president, Pogba will play at Barcelona." [cope]
Obviously he'll finance all of this with selfmade jerseys and Unicef on the front.

He's done nothing to deserve that lol do these board members wonder what Iniesta, Neymar and Suarez will feel when they find out Pogba is the 2nd highest paid player? Pogba is also a player who won't have any loyalty to this club to begin with.
I'd veto this.

You are a joke.
Laporta hasn't said anything about "self-made jerseys".
And putting UNICEF at the front doesn't have to be at an expense for Barça. We can get a back sponsor that sponsors UNICEF and sell the stadium name (Camp Nou means nothing) and get approximately the same we are making now.
I think we have to sign Pogba, but him earning more than Neymar, Suarez or Iniesta makes no sense obviously.

So Alexis and Cesc transfers are basically the most profitable transfer(selling) we have ever made. That says it all

Losing a front sponsor means less money. Period. Trying to cover the losses with different stuff like selling the stadium naming rights is fooling people. You can have a shirt sponsor and still sell the stadium naming rights so effectively the club will be losing money. Besides, the figures regarding naming rights are rumoured to be € 200M for 20 years. That doesn't even cover the total costs of Pogba when he signs 5 year contract (€ 90M fee + 5 * € 24M wages > € 200M). There is also that little project the socios have voted for. What was it again? Oh, yeah. Building a new stadium.
