Marchisio, Pirlo nearing returns

Claudio Marchisio and Andrea Pirlo are close to Juventus returns, but Massimiliano Allegri is not sure whether to risk the former tomorrow.

The Bianconeri are facing Fiorentina in the second leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final tomorrow, and the Coach told his pre-match Press conference that the injured midfielders will soon return.

“Marchisio is doing well,” Allegri assured.

“He’s returned to the squad, however he’s been working separately. Considering the number of games he’s played from the start of the season to now, I think four or five days out of the team did him some good.

“He’ll be available, so I’ll have to assess today whether to play him or not.

“As for Pirlo, the day after tomorrow he should be part of the group, and then we’ll slowly evaluate his physical condition.

“I’ll assess him once he returns to the group, but the important thing is to have him available. I hope he’ll be in good condition, because he’s done well in training.

“There are still a lot of games between now and the end of the season, I think Andrea has the quality to play in big games, even when he’s not in top condition.”

Mohamed Salah scored twice in the first leg of this tie, and Allegri was asked whether he’d be devising a special plan to nullify the Egyptian.

“I think if we’d have paid a little more attention on the corner for the first goal [in Turin] maybe we’d have avoided conceding.

“That said, Salah is a good player, I think Fiorentina have made a good purchase and did really well out of the exchange [with Juan Cuadrado].”

Tevez: tests ok. With Monaco there will be

AnsaTURIN - Well well, Carlos Tevez does not betray. In the morning were carried out the necessary investigations and responses were those desired. The flexor muscle strain in his right thigh accused Sunday and reappeared on the eve of Fiorentina-Juventus has not in fact surprises. The lesion is detected minimum, the threshold of the "micro", therefore already Tevez was possible to bear in Vinovo to carry out specific work, without forcing obviously. Place the precautionary rest Saturday (in the league away to Parma), so we would look with justified optimism in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals on Tuesday against Monaco. Carlitos will be there.

Good news for Juventus, as tests show Carlos Tevez and Stephan Lichtsteiner injuries are not serious.

Both players were ruled out of last night’s 3-0 Coppa Italia semi-final victory over Fiorentina at the Stadio Franchi.
Today they both underwent scans and the response was reassuring for club medics.

Tevez does not have a lesion to the thigh muscle and will likely be rested against Parma on Saturday to ensure he’s in good shape for the Champions League quarter-final with Monaco.

Lichtsteiner was diagnosed with only a bruise to the right thigh and will also be available next Tuesday in Europe.
Paul Pogba is out of action, but Andrea Pirlo is hoping to recover in time to face Monaco.

Juventus have been dealt a blow to their European and domestic trophy hopes as midfielder Paul Pogba is ruled out with a hamstring injury until May.

The 22-year-old has been a key part of the Bianconeri's incredible Serie A record in 2014-15 – they are 14 points clear and look certain to wrap up the Scudetto over the coming weeks.

With Champions League matches and a Coppa Italia semi-final second leg at Fiorentina to come in the next month, however, Pogba's absence could hit their hopes of winning the treble hard before he returns for the final few matches of the season.

The France international limped off as Massimiliano Allegri's men breezed past Borussia Dortmund in the last-16 second leg and there were fears that a moderate spell on the sidelines could be on the cards.

Those fears have proven to be justified and Juventus - who signed Pogba from Manchester United as a teenager on a free transfer in 2012 - revealed the extent of his injury on Thursday.

"Paul Pogba, who was brought off during the first half of Dortmund-Juventus, has been medically examined," a statement on the club's website reads.

"Magnetic resonance imaging confirmed the initial suspicion of a second-degree injury to Pogba's right hamstring. The recovery schedule for the midfielder is due to take 50 days."

If Juventus's timeline is accurate, Pogba will be fit to feature in the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals, should they reach the last four, although he is unlikely to be approaching full fitness until the middle of May.

So, 21 days past. 29 days left till we see Pogba back Smile
Hopefully he will be ready for the first leg of the CL on May 5/6. By then the scudetto will be in our bag. Smile

Pjaca's injury is not serious. Reports say between 15-20 days, but he will be monitored daily and soon we will know how long he will be out for.

Chiellini has a calf injury... Switch to 433 with Evra as LB and Sandro as LW until Pjaca is back? Back to 4312 with Dybala behind Mandzu and Higuain? OR khedira-Hernanes-Marchisio and Pjanic as AM?

Hopefully his injury isn't serious so we wouldn't have to switch to a back for without Pjaca available.

Lol I expect Bonucci to return back to Juve... He will not be comfortable with a thigh strain or somsthing like that.

Anyways, players return and others get injured... It is a cycle now. Dybala will be back after the break if everything is alright.

Alves out for 3. Alves, Barzagli, Bonucci all out until like february basically. Benatia will be in AFCON January too. We'll just have Rugani and Chiellini as CBs. At least we can do a back 4 or play Litch and Evra as RCB/LCB as well.

Dybala back this weekend?
By Football Italia staff

Paulo Dybala will reportedly be available for Juventus’ next match on Saturday against Atalanta.

According to Sport Mediaset, Massimiliano Allegri “should” have Dybala back after having lost the forward for over a month with a thigh injury.

His return could not come quick enough as Juve’s only fit strikers over the past week have been Mario Mandzukic and teenager Moise Kean.

However, Dani Alves and Leonardo Bonucci will certainly miss the visit of Serie A’s surprise packages due to setbacks sustained in the 3-1 defeat at Genoa.

Finally some good news
