Indeed, the hosts' home record against the Toffees in the last half-decade is quite good. 3 wins and 2 draws in those 5, with that trio of victories coming in the last 3 encounters, bodes well for José Mourinho's men on the day, especially when coupled with their opponent's poor form this season.
The Toffees, following their flying first season under Roberto Martinez that saw them finish 5th and qualify for Europe last year, have had a lacklustre campaign so far this term. Sitting mid-table, the Merseysiders are closer to the relegation zone than they are to 4th, or even 5th, and are only 2 points farther off it than they are the top half.
Recent history doesn't bode well for Wednesday's guests either. The reverse fixture in the early stages of the young Premier League season was a high-scoring affair that ultimately was decided against its hosts. Goals from Diego Costa, Branislav Ivanovic, Nemanja Matic, Ramires and an own goal from Seamus Coleman canceled out strikes from Kevin Mirallas, Steven Naismith and ex-Blue Samuel Eto'o to see the Blues run out impressive 6-3 winners on the day.
The corresponding fixture last season ended much the same way, though in a vastly differing manner. The Blues huffed and puffed throughout the encounter but neither side was able to make the breakthrough on the afternoon, until a stoppage-time winner from John Terry stole a late, last-gasp three points for the home side.
Jonathon Moss, who last officiated for Chelsea in their 5-0 annihilation of Swansea City a fortnight ago and for Everton in their 3-0 thumping at the hands of Southampton at Saint Mary's in December, has been appointed referee for Wednesday's affair.

I think it'll be a tight game but our form is much better than theirs.
I think Remy will start and Cuadrado will come on late on. Cesc will probably start.

I would love to see Remy, Cuadrado, and Zouma start this game. I am not expecting to see Fabregas even thou Mou already said that he's fit. It would be a pleasant surprise if he starts.

Id bring in Remy and Zouma for Cahill and Drogba. I doubt Cesc will be fit by then if he wasnt even on the bench yesterday. No chance Cuadrado starts, however if he does I hope its in place of Oscar with Willian moved to centre.

Cuadrado won't start, Mou said he won't rush him, which is good.
I'd like to see Zouma start, but it's 50/50 with him and Cahill, imo.

Jose has said he thinks Cesc will start against Everton and that he was rested vs Villa to protect him.

Idk. They played well against Pool and always manage to give us a game. Can see them possibly getting something here sadly.

You're right, they usually play better against us than they do Liverpool.

They were very defensive vs Liverpool at home so expect a tight game
