Dave Meltzer on Current Plan for Daniel Bryan's Wrestlemania Match

Bryan and Ziggler set up a match on Twitter, and that wasn’t fooling around, but the actual plan, so that’s the top six right there.

When he says top six, he is referring to the top 6 Mania Matches

Reigns/Lesnar
Sting/HHH
Taker/Wyatt
Cena/Rusev
Rollins/Orton
Bryan/Ziggler

Taker should win a match and retire, but it shouldn't be against Wyatt

Both men need a win for very different reasons so this would be pointless.

We noted before that Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan was in the works for WrestleMania 31 this year but apparently WWE has changed their mind.

The recent Twitter interactions between Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler are not just social media chatter as WWE is currently going with Bryan vs. Ziggler for WrestleMania.

Another battle royal also is expected for WrestleMania this year. No word yet on if it will be another Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal but there was talk at one point of making it a yearly match.

There were rumors of Sting appearing on Monday’s WWE RAW, before it was canceled, to set up the announcement for Triple H challenging him to a showdown at WWE’s Fast Lane pay-per-view.

A WWE source noted today that Sting likely won’t be appearing on WWE TV until the Fast Lane pay-per-view on February 22nd. With that said, anything is possible and the WWE writers have been working on re-doing the scripts for Thursday’s live SmackDown but Sting is not expected.

Bryan vs Ziggler, what's the storyline going to be? Doubt either of them's turning heel.

Maybe they both come out each week and complain about Reigns taking their spot. hmm

Hulk Hogan recently spoke with BANG Showbiz about a possible return to the ring for WWE. Via ContactMusic.com, below is what Hogan had to say:

“I got some advice from a wise man, his name is Vince McMahon and he said, ‘Never, say never.’ I’m back home in the WWE, this is where I started, I’m home and to end the legacy and put the period on the end of the sentence I am training right now like I’m getting ready for the WWE Championship. You just never know when Hulk Hogan is going to tear the house down. It could be any time, it could be anywhere. I am training and getting ready for my last match, my last run or my retirement match. It’s not over until the fat lady sings and I haven’t put the period at the end of the sentence yet.”

Hogan also commented on a potential match at WrestleMania 31:

“If it happened I would want it to be the greatest match of all time, of course … If it’s the end of my career and a huge emotional send-off that would be great, or if it’s the beginning of another huge run for Hulkamania and me chasing the dream of winning the WWE title, that would be brilliant. I’m thinking very positively about getting back in the ring.”
