Proving to be an egotistical buffoon, a stubborn one at that.

Almost (can't believe I'm going to say this, never thought it'd come to this) as bad as Moyes last season. Taking things into consideration like availability of good players and money spent in the summer. Some would say he's doing worse.

Funny how as soon as we change to a back four, we look much more threatening up front and created chances and instantly scored too. (exactly a min after he switched formation).

Everyone can see that this 3-5-2 is holding us back, but him. even the frigging Utd fans on the stands were chanting '4-4-2'.

Odd tactics galore, odd subs galore, atrocious boring football. Square pegs in round holes. trying to shoehorn all our best players to one team. Struggling to create chances and play the slowest brand of pointless possession football. Ugh!

He carries this on and it will be his undoing at the club. No top 4 and he is gone imo.

Disclaimer: I'm not clamouring for him to get sacked. But he's not making it easier to support him by his odd decisions every week.

being a coach must be irritating  .

it's one of the few professions in the world where even after decades of experience and accomplishments , you still get 20 something nobodies with 0 first hand experience in the business in any capacity calling you an idiot and pretending like they know your job better than you .

Nah, he's a got a great CV and he knows what he's doing,  when performances on the pitch suggests otherwise. Every week it's staring him directly in the face yet he's too stubborn to change it.

Don't care what t f__ he's achieved in the past. That's history. What I care about is United, and at the moment he has us playing awful football and depending on good fortune and De Gea to get us points- far too much for my liking. He has spent a fortune, he has class attacking players at his disposal...play them in the right formation and positions. It's not rocket science ffs. If us "nobodies" can see it, then why can't someone with an impressive CV and is paid millions can't?

the " nobodies " also thought that Robben wasn"t a Guardiola player , that Fabregas wasn't a Mourinho player , that Costa would flop in england, that Ancelotti's trio of Di maria-alonso-Modric was too light and wouldn't work etc...

we're still in january , let the man do his job ffs .

and it's not like this Man u team deserves higher than third or fourth place anyway .

He's a manager that experiments a lot, United knew it when they appointed him, sometimes they pay off, other times they don't and it's not right to say his experiments failed, where were you when United had a winning streak with the 3-5-2? And it's too early to tell that the ADM-Rooney's experiment is bad as Rooney has been great in midfield and ADM has just returned from injury and is new at his role. And it's not like you see goals from every corner, plus Jones is very new at taking them. Give him time, let him take as much corners as possible and the assists will come.

It's not like United is ready to fight for the title yet, 3rd/4th place after few months is what was expected from United.

If letting Phil Jones take a corner and playing ADM as a striker while Rooney plays in midfield all while playing extremely boring football is how LvG is going to go forward, then I honestly think myself being a nobody could likely do better. Or many people here for that matter.

I hate the sentiment that people back home can't criticize their manager because they don't have the same experience or knowledge or whatever. LvG is clearly being an idiot in more ways than one, so I reserve the right to call him an idiot.

His reputation is hilarious though for someone who has won 1 major title since 1999. There were discussions on Redcafe whether he is the best foreign manager of all time in the summer before he even coached 1 game. "Mourinho's mentor", "the mastermind behind prime Barca and prime Bayern", "DAT goalkeeper substitution in the WC."

His next step will be replacing De Gea with Valdes. He's always had his weird goalkeeper choices. 1) That was all presumptions that turned out to be wrong.

2) We are seeing with our bare own eyes that his system and tactics isn't working. Big difference.

3) I don't care whether we are deserving to be 3rd or 4th. The fact of the matter is, we are playing some of the dullest football in the league, handicapped by a formation the players are not suited to play in.

Any manager would have been heralded after Moyes tbh, such was our desperation after suffering 10 months of that loser. And tbf, LVG did warrant some respect.

Many on there are slowly turning now, which is no surprise. It's been coming, results masked it and postponed things.

This is the same man that used Rivaldo as a left winger and decided for a couple games the rather slow Riquelme was well suited for the wing.

Whilst I agree with Farfan that he is way above my pay grade in football, the guy is still does ridiculous things and there is no harm or shame in pointing it out.
