Since I more or less watch this club on a regular basis now I decided, what the heck, GL could use a River thread, anyway. So without further ado, here's the CA River Plate Thread.

Well it's exciting times for River now especially this week. From a club who had previously been to the Argentina Primera B in 2011 to a club who currently have a chance to win the league, twice, in the same year, and in the midst of that, a chance to win the Copa Sudamericana (Europa League equvalent) in the same week. Their eventual participation in the Copa Libertadores 2015 further boasts how this club has, since 2011, pulled off a 180 turn.

River Plate are the champions of the 2014 Copa Sudamericana! :cheer:

After a trophy drought, outside the Argentinean League, River have finally ended their international woes after defeating Atletico Nacional of Colombia 3-1 on aggregate.
