If you reduced the tiki taka in your OWN box you'll be a much better 'any' MT. You let in lots of goals beacuse of it. Pls do something about it. Otherwise you're doing fine

Yeah Calma on the sideways defense passing, like when I was shadowing a player and i got it squared to me lmao, even if you press x 60 times nothing happens in that situation

Yeh it'll take some time getting used to.

Problem right now is people are still taking way too many touches before releasing the ball. Just a simple x pass to the closest player.

Link up play is still missing, it's not hard to make diagonal runs either.

2 obvious things i'm sure everybody does on single player that go missing on clubs in favour of headless chicken sprinting

Imo it has to be either PTB or balanced/attacking. UD and defensive does nothing. We're not sitting back nor are we pressing. The opposition freely spray passes around and exploit gaps.

Reason why I switched to 4-2-3-1 was because the wingers actually track back.

With the 4-3-3 it's only the 3 midfielders defending, which leaves a 2v1 situation on the flanks.

Secondly, because there's only 1 DM in a 4-3-3, as a human it's easy to over commit and leave gaps. With a 4-2-3-1, at least if the human DM over committed, the other CPU player would still be there. So if a human does play as a DM, they need to be extremely disciplined and also need to stay back at all times.

Also for 4 at the back to work, there's no doubt it'll have to be PTB or balanced/attack with pressing.

Unless of course there's a goat 'any' out there who can handle the glitch prone CPU defenders against 3-4 op pace attackers. The defenders 90% of the time are at a disadvantage.

Imo however there is another solution. Stop conceding counter attacks, retain possession and be patient.

Retaining possession = opponent can't attack.

20 mins, i'm not joining our high division club again though i'm sick of us barely playing then going in with no clue and getting scrappy losses every game

Stick to the new club, *bleep* do proper link up play, no O.T.T dribbling etc and we'll improve. Instead of swapping formations, roles and trying new shit every game with no plan against teams of 5 and 6 people who actually work as a team

In div 5 now on agile, so should be decent competition to practise, but not too hard imo.

So what should our tactics for the main club be?

Imo 5 at the back PTB. Get an all human mid and attack who high press and track back.

Imo it's better if the any just focuses on controlling the defenders and dna's our best defensive any. Plus our link up play will be better since dna's pro won't be dribbling all time.
