Re: Roberto Firmino
If we sign another striker like Bacca, Firmino will shine immediately. A striker like Bacca will ease off the pressure Firmino.
But if we do not sign anyone else, Firmino will be asked to play different roles throughout the season (considering Sturridge injured) for a long time. I think Origi and Ings will both struggle to make to starting XI every week. So looking at the recent trend, we might play Firmino as CF more often than what we should.

I personally think Ings will surprise many people next season.

Re: Roberto Firmino
if he keeps pn playing alongside either Sturridge or Coutinho throughout the next season, he will tear new holes in the opposition defenses like Suarez did

I remember when that one guy kept going around being like "Payet is so much better than Firmino" and how much people were hating on him.

Re: Roberto Firmino
But Payet is better than Firmino Firmino is very hot and cold and took along time to settle into his current form. Payet has been doing it all season, nearly in every game he plays.

Re: Roberto Firmino
Payet isn't better than Firmino. Firmino is also not "very hot and cold" -- he took time to settle because of the change in tactics, manager and injury (as well as the new league, teammates shuffling due to injury, etc.)

Re: Roberto Firmino
Dude, I am biased for Firmino because he is Brazilian but Payet has had a far better season than Firmino. He is better for now.

Re: Roberto Firmino
Are we measuring who is more talented or having a better season because talent can be a bit difficult to measure unless it's something that is glaringly obvious.
That being said, Payet is having the better season. Not sure how else to put it.

Re: Roberto Firmino
I think Payet has proved much more than Firmino and he has done much more for WestHam ! Well anyways, my post was related to the thing that he is a very talented player and I think I have seen enough of his attitude that he will be even better player for us in the next season.

Re: Roberto Firmino
Not a fan.
Good player, but not a top player and never will be one.
Bellarabi, Son, Lallana level. Able to shine midtable, too inconsistent and weak for anything above.

He's better at literally everything .
Can you get any more transparent and biased btw ? you seem to think that every single liverpool player is equal / better than their premier league counterparts in their respective positions .
You'd have to wonder why said teams are outperforming you despite having the lesser players .

It's not like you aren't biased towards French/French-Maghrebian/Ex-Ligue-1 players though

The only bias i shown here was towards Benzema , and even then i wasn't one of those that compared him to Suarez or other obviously superior strikers .
What other Francophone players you think i endorsed in this forum ?

Re: Roberto Firmino
What baffles me is the same hurdles Firmino went through minus the manager part, Payet went through and the latter is still doing better. So I am really, honestly baffled why Curtinho would write that statement for anything other than being bias.

Re: Roberto Firmino
Which idiot said Payet has been doing this for years. As if Firmino hasn't. He had a goat season in 13-14 and had a very solid 14-15 in a much better league than Payet. And this season Firmino's output is similar to Payet's even if people think the Frenchman has done better because it didn't take him long to settle.

Starting to think Curt's assessment on El Ghazi might be wrong, after all, he does have a 7.24 Whoscored rating

For those who are wondering, I can assume James is responding to this in particular:
