Walter Mazzarri sack watch thread
He deserves his first sack in career , and it is a concrete possibility.
According rumours even Thohir got tired of him.
His future should be decided from these last 2 matches before of this break for the NT teams.
It is unavoidable . We're going to fight for relegation battle under him.
And not just the results, he didn't give a game in 16 months.

Re: Walter Mazzarri sack watch thread
I'm unsure of whether Thorir will act before the end of the season as it may be difficult to find a coach in the mean time who can meet the season's minimum objective but is willing to work on a temporary basis. I expect Inter to pursue Siniša Mihajlović at the end of the season and I don't believe they'll want to jeopardise their attempts by bringing in someone who will expect a two year contract at least.

Re: Walter Mazzarri sack watch thread
Well there's the obvious choices,Mancini and Spalletti.
The alternative is waiting out the season in expectation of Mihajlovic and a long shot,Simeone.

Re: Walter Mazzarri sack watch thread
We are prisoners of Mazzarri 's contract, it's similar to Pardew with Newcastle, we renewed his contract this summer for the 5th place trophy and he earns 3.5 mln every year...
and we are a club with economic problems , under the supervision of Uefa for PFP
It's a serious problem , but it's the reason why he doesn't still sacked and it will be done only if it will be rated as unovaidable. And this seems the current situation.
We must get the 6th place at least, for a matter of revenues etc and if the situation doesn't change we don't get not even this.
Vibe how highly do you rate your Serbian brother Sinisa ?
It's not a bad idea tbh .. although he has never managed great clubs
Some Italian rumours ( not so reliable tbf) talk also about Roberto Martinez of Everton

My opinion of Sinisa was always that he's a bit dumb.
He advanced himself tactically in recent times though, adopted a modern approach and is willing to give youngsters a chance so that's a positive. He also likes Inter very much and it's his top ambition to become an Inter coach.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL this pic
The best scenario would be Mazzarri resignes ( he always boasts himself to have never been sacked , so I 've sometimes this useless hope ) but who would do never a similar thing?
Since I am an Inter fan I remind only Roy Hodgson after Uefa Cup final , respect for it. ( it's strange to think he resigned in his prime and not after flop WC 2010 )
Anyway it begins today the decisive week for him with this match against Saint Etienne

7 mln , not 10 .
but yes , as I said this is the only reason because he is not still sacked and if he will get saved it will be just for this ,
the Italian Alan Pardew.

I wouldn't say that, when was the last time he had his full squad. repeating the same mistake you did with stramm is not the best way to go

why it was a mistake to sack Strama ?
9th place and 2nd worst defence of Serie A , basically one of worst results ever for Inter .. He was a record breaker as Moyes for United.
The only real mistake made with Strama was that to sign him from Primavera to first team because he is still inexperienced ( even for Udinese probably, let alone Inter who always means much pressure ) and he wasn't ready for this jump

half of your team were injured, you needed Jesus to save all not any manager, you have to stay realistic and not blame everything on manager, but to each its own

Re: Walter Mazzarri sack watch thread
Yea, TBF on Strama when he had a fit team, Coutinho, Sneijder he managed to get 3rd and take Juventus's 50 games unbeaten streak and it was only after Coutinho and Sneijder were sold, half of his team (especially Milito who was having a better 2012 than 2010) injured and had to play with the Schelottos, Rocchis, Kuzmanovic that results started to drastically aggravate. Still the way he lost the plot and let that situation escalate to a relegation candidate results in the second half was very amateurish and deserved the sack, but that's exactly what's going on with Mazzarri, he has no excuses, he had 18 months to "evaluate the squad", he bought all his players and the results and the performances haven't improved from his last year, if not got worse, and it doesn't really look like he's going to turn this around.
He earns 3,5M a year and isn't willing to resign, therefore Thorir should just fire him. Having to pay two managers for the rest of the season is not good for FFP, but keeping Mazzarri till the end of the season might cost Inter a lot more than that, in terms of European placement, in terms of valorize the players, in terms of stadium revenue, as San Siro is emptier than ever nowadays.

the injuries aren't because of bad luck , but because of a mistaken athletic training during the summer.Lupi wrote:

player didn't get injured because of a tackle in a match.
Stramaccioni admitted he was wrong to do it and he was to honest to admit to have paid the inexperience

Re: Walter Mazzarri sack watch thread
Besides I watched the Pardew thread and Alan Pardew got 5 wins in a row with Newcastle now
Mazzarri in 16 months has never got 3 wins in a row, and okay we aren't probably top 3 , but we are a team for European place and it' s unacceptable
I don't say Cuper, Mancini or Mourinho but I remind even Zaccheroni , Ranieri and Stramaccioni getting a good slam of wins , even 10 in a row
Embarassing. But it testifies a mental fragility
Then I think you are lucky to not learn the Italian language. Because you avoid to listen the interview by Mazzarri.
It's embarassing his excuses after every match not won.
Yesterday he said it was because raining. Raining.
It is not a case this team hasn't temperament, balls. It reclines on his excuses prepared after every loss.
When Sampdoria lost against Inter at Milano for a penalty kick scored in 90' , Sinisa Mihajlovic scolded his team and his said the loss was deserved. And he takes the day off when his team loses badly. Conte did same thing. Never done by Mazzarri.

Mostly variations of 4-4-2 and 4-2-3-1...
With us he'll play 4-4-2 diamond as we have no wingers. The formation he used when he was last with us...
That would be my guess...

change Kovacic with Hernanes...
Hernanes is perfect as trequartista and he has difficulties as " mezz ala " , Kovacic is exactly the contrary

I honestly disagree.Hernanes himself says he is more comfortable deeper, and he lacks the final ball and general teamwork to play behind the strikers IMO,while Kovacic enjoys playing deeper because he makes runs from there and attacks the final third, but he has much more vision than Hernanes as well as final ball qualities and that's why I think he can adapt playing higher better.
Kovacic has no long range pass as well, while Hernanes does(although not that great at it),as well as a long range shot, which are crucial qualities needed for a deeper player.Kovacic is also far more mobile and Hernanes certainly lost some mobility recently.
