That said, we missed Oscar today, Fabregas didn't show up until the last 15 minutes. Schurrle was woeful, again. Willian isn't an AM. Drogba wasted too many attacks.

On the plus side, Kurt Happy Zouma
I only saw him make one mistake, otherwise, he was impeccable. He does need to learn when to jump, however, his massive jump did save him on a few occasions.

Matic was very good, also.

I wasn't expecting much better, tbh.
The 6 0 scoreline skewed how this match would go. They managed draws before our game, this was on their home (we always struggled in eastern europe) and they were going to learn from their mistakes.

It was always going to be close.

Spin spin and more spin. We should have won that game - period. I know it, you know it, we all know it. Making excuses for performances like that is precisely the wrong thing to be doing for our development.

We were a competent linesman or a Hazard penalty away from winning.

I am not making excuses, I am simply giving the opponents credit, something, which you seem to be incapable of.

Sure, they're not a big team. On paper, we should beat them, but games are not played on paper, games are played by humans, on a field. In this case, the field happened to be in Eastern Europe, far from Stamford Bridge, where they, obviously, had much more confidence than we did, which allowed them to play better.

Credit, where credit is due. They played well, we didn't.

Besides, believing the opposition deserved their result, and saying that with the players we have in our team we should be beating a side of their quality, are not mutually exclusive.

Something I meant to post earlier was that I liked that Mou made changes at half time, because they were needed. My issue was though that Costa really struggled playing off Drogbas knock downs and trying to win the second ball off him, which is what he was forced to do most of the game, instead I think Mou should have kept Willian on and bought Drogba off and stuck with the 4-2-3-1
