Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
But each manager will have to start from scratch, whereas Spurs, Leicester and Pool are already well oiled machines. That's a significant advantage in the early season.

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
Even if we do talk about finances, Liverpool is by no means a poverty club. They haven't spent money wisely, but that isn't the same as not having money. Also, in Klopp, theoretically, they should have a manager who can work wonders even on a relatively modest budget.

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
We should really stop pretending as if Leicester will be anywhere near the top teams next season.
It was nice, but obviously now it's back to midtable. Avoiding relegation should be their season goal tbh.

Re: Klopp sack watch - Liverpool Edition
You're not getting it.
What this season has done is give a psychological boost to the rest of the teams that even they can achieve amazing things in the right conditions.
The mentality would change from 'lets draw at old trafford' to 'lets beat Mid-table Manu at old trafford'
Thats not to say the Swansea's and the Southampton's would do a Leicester but really its less about big names and its more now about scouting and identifying the right targets to improve your team.
Money becomes less of a factor to me with the epl tv deal windfall. If anything this shiuld motivate the lesser teams to stand toe to toe with the richer clubs.
Even in 90s Serie A for example, you had 1-2 top teams drop out of top 3 almost every yr.
But by all means keep pretending Genius Pep would coast to the league title.

Curtinho wrote:I'm mad at him for playing Moreno constantly. As a tactical manager has he improved the team? Meh, I'm not so sure. His player decisions at times have been very weird. I feel he's done more in terms of inspiration, and that's a large part of why they made it to the final.
Looking forward to a season where he gets to bring in his own players and work with them in the off-season to see if he can really bring some resurgence to Liverpool. At the end of the day it was a very up and down first season so here's hoping for some improvement.
You continue to PMS.
End of the day he can work with what he has. There's no one better than Moreno in the squad right now. (Flanagan and Gomez are injured.) That's on Rodgers, not Klopp. lol
As for your improvement... we made 2 finals with an average squad. Every supporter believes in the manager again. The 12th man is back. The players actually believe in the manager. The players actually believe we can go onto win games after conceding. The players actually believe they can go out and win any game now. Unfortunately, your boyfriend made an average squad. This'll no doubt get fixed next season / the years to come.
It all starts in the pre-season now.

You know what, calling it now. Klopp will never hit the heights that Rodgers did at Liverpool (genuine title contender) Wouldn't that be something. Flopp. I'll say it again, if he doesn't get CL this season - needs to be sacked.

If we sack Klopp it'll be the final nail in the coffin for how *bleep* up football is and would be a sad day for our club.

That's probably overkill but this should be a good lesson for Liverpool fans -- no manager or player is bigger than the club. Unfortunately for them, it's been a long time since Rodgers has left the club so they can't even blame him now.

Still in shock over Celtic's 6-0 dismantling of Inverness. Rodgers is a misunderstood genius

To be fair the league is far more competitive now and Liverpool are far more entertaining now
Also no Suarez or a player of his equivalent level

Liverpool are the top goal scorers in the league so it's not down to lack of goals. It's lack of defence that costs us.zigra wrote:Unique wrote:but scoring goals is not the problem it's keeping them outFirenze wrote:Firmino/Origi/Studge don't even make 20% of a Suarez though
