Re: Expectations
I will make an assessment of my expectations on September 1st when i know what our squad will be.
Even though, the season starts in August, the transfer window will still be open.
So I will re-visit this thread in just under 7 weeks.

ps: Ilmatic was/is still his best CD, shame he never has as big of a followup
Stillmatic is pretty good as well but your'e right can't quite live up to Ilmatic.
ps: I'm wondering if Clichy will even be first choice LB for City...
Re: Expectations
I think Clichy would make a good wingback at mancity because as far as i understand, city play with ball carriers and then throw the ball in the middle like 3/4 way along the pitch for silva to work his magic.
That being said, Mancity will be found out onthe counter because
a. Toure over commits and bombs forward
b. We all know about Gael's defencive abilities
c. De jong isnt fast enough to take on speedy forwards by himself.

Re: Expectations
Yeah, those make out sessions with Toure and Gallas must be hard.
I'm confident Walcott can rip him a new one down the right flank once we face City.

Re: Expectations
It’s nothing like that bro. Believe me, nothing would make me happier than to shut people up about arsenal not winning the league-when they actually do. I think this past season we had the best chance to take it all, and our boys did not deliver. Now given that, we are on the verge of losing 2 influential players, I just have to face reality.
That being said, I really think the crop of players we have with us NOW, have the heart and testis to match the skill set that the previous generation lacked. So looking ahead 2-3 years from now (given that we are able to hold on to our core of players), I believe we will manage to moonwalk away with the league title. But for now we need to start off by winning something, ANYTHING (well minus the emirates) to get that bad ass swaggered stallion mentality back.
Do you guys remember when Rudd the “horseface” van Nistelrooy dived to get that penalty, only to have by our entire team physically harassing him (that picture of Martin keown posing as the karate kid over the horse face always comes to mind, Or where Lauren is choking one of the Neviles also comes to mind) … well that is the sort of passion we need back into our team! And with the current crop of players coming up, I think we are going to get that mojo back.

Song, Wilshere, RVP, Verminator, Djourou, and Wojeich all have that... thats pretty much more or less the same amount our old team had

Re: Expectations
Ha ha. Guys, the order is illmatic, stillmatic, it was written, street disciple, I am, lost tapes, god's son, untitled, hhid. All these are classics the only flop is nastradamus. Lol. Anyway, clichy will be overworked at city. He,s gonna play the left back and left wing positions at once. He's gon be good against teams that don't counter attack tht much bt against man u or arsenal I c him finding it difficult.
