Solid player but 30m lol. Isnt he off to AFC anyway. They would have been better off keeping Negredo.

Re: The Official Rival Thread - Part II
I heard that City hasn't won a game without Yaya since 2013 and he's going to miss the next month due to AFCON.
Need to increase our gap and keep them as distant as possible, I wouldn't want us to bottle the way United and Liverpool did against the very same City.

We do, 2 points is not enough. Like I said in another thread, we can finish this month 5 points ahead if we beat them at the end of it.

United just lost 1-0 to Southampton at the Old Trafford.
After their 10 positive results streak I thought they could join the title race, but I guess this ends any other ambition they have other than a CL place.

They've now the same number of points after 21 games as they did last season, with one fewer goal scored...having spent roundabout £150m this summer...most of it on attackers...

Re: The Official Rival Thread - Part II
Why am I not even surprised that Southampton won against Man U?
All along people were saying that they would be at the bottom because they sold their key players from last season. Kudos to the management, they really are doing a fine job there.

Re: The Official Rival Thread - Part II
Now they're not a surprise anymore, but at the start of the season I wouldn't have expected them to get so far.
Not only the key players left, but also the management. Nicola Cortese who was the Southampton's director has left and been replaced with a guy who occupied the same position but in a hockey club and Pochettino was poached by Tottenham.

Re: The Official Rival Thread - Part II
Everyone who deserted them this summer ended up being inferior to the people who took their place. It's brilliant

I want Arsenal to win. Hopefully they will. I am not putting my hopes up, but Arsenal winning would be great for us.

I'll take even a draw, though won't be holding my breath for either...

Re: The Official Rival Thread - Part II
Pool winning against Villa thanks to Borini while United is stuck 0-0 against QPR with the whole United section ranting against LvG
Anyway who cares, it's fourth place battles. I'm already looking forward for City against Arsenal.

Always nice to have your match early, win, then be able to sit back and watch what unfolds between your rivals

I won't be watching it because it's another 2:30 KO and I am still tired from last night.
