The official rival discussion thread
Well with the start of the new season, we will need a thread to discuss our rivals and our partners.
PSG have won their first 2 games of the season. Not too convincing I shall add especially against Montpellier but ADM will hopefully be ready by next week so I can start watching them regularly
United vs Newcastle will be a nice little entertaining game to watch. Think Newcastle will beat them but we shall see
New feeder club vs old feeder club is on at 5pm GMT today. I recommend you watch that, will be a good game to catch real madrid hopefuls Burgui and Asensio who are both there on loan. They also want Cabellos who we are close to nabbing which should make it easier for us to watch one team with most our loaned out players. Rayo Vallecano vs Valencia on alittle later on. Diego Llorente is at Rayo on loan, Valencia's attack should be a good test for him
And to close the day San Iker will try to continue his impressive 100% win streak

Re: The official rival discussion thread
Haven't watched any Liga Sagres match so far but I would try to watch. It's whole day La Liga for me so I'll see how things look with Asensio and Burgui.
Not sure if to watch Leceister Tottenham or Sunderland Swansea, both seem like boring matches. Newcastle should be losing in all honesty but Krul is having a good match. Steven Taylor made some very key interceptions as well.

Re: The official rival discussion thread
Anyone else think LVG is finding it hard to motivate his WC players??
Schweini looks out of sorts there. Just very lazy. I still remember him against Dortmund late last season when he came on as a sub and looked like the best player offensively and defensively. You saw him everywhere. At United he makes poverty passes that rarely come off and lets players run past him unopposed. Time will tell but I feel like LVG has veey poor motivational skills, I knew from the first game of ADMs last season that he would be benched unless he worked harder but that day never came and he got benched. What has Young done now to warrant getting benched, if it was on merit Young would be starting right now but there is no WC player there to teach a lesson to by benching them for Young.
They need someone like Carlo imo.
Lolz at Boateng. I dont know what fprmation Pep is attempting to play but I wish he'd stop tinkering. It's annoying even me who don't support Bayern
Edit: And Lewa saves Pep's backside there. Lucky guy

Re: The official rival discussion thread
Douglas Costa is *bleep* amazing.
He is future 100 mill player no doubt. why were we never in for him? much better than Bale.Absolute monster of a dribbler and crosser.

Re: The official rival discussion thread
Yepp lovely little player. Great by Bayern to take a chance on him. Money well spent indeed
if I had criticism for him it's that he is trying too hard sometimes and makes the wrong decision but those can be phased out easily the longer he stays
When a player makes it at Bayern they don't leave so it doesn't matter how much he'll cost. They'll never let him go
If a team wants to take someone from that team it's going to be Gotze who seems to be starting only because of his price tag

Asensio, Burgui and Medran all on the bench for their respective teams. Noblejas also on the bench but we let him go

As long as his players stick to his "philosophy", LvG would see Piggy's match as an excellent display.

Re: The official rival discussion thread
It's easy to tell not yet wc players or average players to stick to a philosophy to win and make a name for themselves. He needs something else to motivate the likes of Schweini who have won everything there is already. I just don't see the same motivation from him compared to for example Schneiderlin

Re: The official rival discussion thread
Espanyol beat Getafe 1-0. Medran came on in the second half and didn't do too well. Lost the ball alot and kept dwelling on the ball and making Illarra like passes
Burgui on the other hand came in when there was about 10 minutes left after the starting winger got injured, he defended extremely well, put Javi Lopez through on goal from nearly the half way line with a clever chip and crossed to the same player who managed to let the keeper steal the ball off his feet. He is a man amongst children, you can see the difference in quality between himself and the rest, Vasquez is an Espanyol level player while Burgui is a Real Madrid. Cant wait for Asensio to start alongside Burgui those two are going to run riot.
Also anyone know why Espanyol kept cheering on Burgui everytime he touched the ball?? dude is just there on loan lol. But nice to see anyways

So is pretty much every brazilian who can dribble lol. Pretty sure Willian was at one point as well.
The term doesn't mean anything really.

Re: The official rival discussion thread
Costa isn't WC yet but that's due to where he was playing before he joined Bayern. He is already showing his class for Bayern right now. A very classy player who I can actually support from that team of Mullers and Riberys
Too many times you see players being labelled wc when they aren't. Takes the meaning out of those words tbh

Re: The official rival discussion thread
Didn't watch the game but apparently Llorente was the best player on the pitch against Valencia. When Rayo manage to hold a clean sheet against a big team you just know a defender has been the best. If not with us Llorente is going to find alot of success with a big team. I wonder if we are planning to phase Ramos out and him in in a season or 2. Either or I am so excited about our young talents going out there and proving themselves worthy of wearing the first team shirt

Re: The official rival discussion thread
So another match, be it the 3rd match and another stinker by Fabregas. Well, not so much stinker but he really just not getting in gear as yet. I wonder if he is doing the reverse of his usual form. Lovely debut by Pedro though it doesn't change my opinion of him. But good for him.
Um, Everton v City should be nice I hope.

Re: The official rival discussion thread
Chelseas defence is a mess especially that Ivanovic side. Somehow I dont believe that's their biggest problem. Their biggest problem imo is the CM position next to Matic. Fabregas is so bad he makes Matic look bad. If they bought a good CM Fabregas could move forward where he is most comfortable.

Re: The official rival discussion thread
LOL
Cesc at Barca: "He's playing too far forward, needs to play deeper, guy's a CM."
Cesc at Chelsea: "HE'S PLAYING TOO DEEP, needs to play further forward, guy's an AM."
He sucks everywhere, deal with it.
Also, hala. U mad already that Pedro did more in the EPL in 1 game than Di Maria in a whole season?

They are after Pogba aren't they. Not sure he'll solve their defensive woes but they'll be alot more dangerous going forward

Re: The official rival discussion thread
lolz fusbal, Pedro is trying to copy ADMs half cross half shot assist hybrid that ADM had going. Soon he will copy his chip and then comes the red card. I pray you don't have to see that

Paul won't solve their defensive issues at all. Illara would though. Not that I am shamelessly doing a Futbol by promoting a footballer no longer required at my club. I would never do stuff like that.

Re: The official rival discussion thread
Chelseas crisis deepens with another home defeat. That right side of their is completely non existent defensively. Bolasie had so much time to put in a cross for the winner. Where the eff was Cesc??
Matic having yet another shocker but I was impressed by that kid Kennedy, much much better than Azpilicueta who in turn is much much better than Ivanovic. Mourinho must find it challenging to bench both Terry and Ivanovic in the same season, his last season with us must've scarred him for life because the Mourinho of old is ruthless, Ivanovic would've been benched ages ago
Pardew is working wonders with the likes of Bolasie, Wickham and Puncheon, he goes on like this and they might even nick that fourth spot
