That's why this new product category has been disappointing in terms of sales, and I don't see how Apple Watch can change that let alone meeting the much-hyped sales target of 30 million units in the first year.

when i m rushing on my way to work at subway station, and in Japan its just nuts at station or inside train i cant just get smartphone and check my time or whats going on when push and shove is going inside train. and i had been thinking about getting a watch for a while now so this might help... i mean i will probably get a moto360 one.

but i agree with what u say. its just the way tech has been going but i dont like how apple are overpricing the items.

The Moto X has bad battery life from what I've heard. The G3 is awesome

I've been comparing the specs of the other smartphones (M8, G3, Xperia Z2, Galaxy S5, Moto X) and they're all very similar. One will have a better processor, but the other has more RAM, a bunch of back and forth. For the most part it looks like the iPhone 6 has poor specs, they don't have 4K display or camcorder and it's not even water proof Laughing

But why can't there be a clear cut best smartphone ffs? :facepalm:

I was interested in moving on from an iPhone a long time ago, but i have a LOT of important stuff on my iPhone that i can't transfer to other devices (Notes, books, etc). I'm locked in a vicious cycle ffs

How come nobody has mentioned the Galaxy S phones? They seem just as good or better than the G3, Moto X and HTC M8 mentioned earlier hmm

The Nexus phones seem the best price wise though.

Isn't it all about the processor, display, camera and camcorder though? Not the operating system?

Bro wtf is a camcorder, you mean video?

and no it's not always about the those things, nowadays almost all the phones have around about the same hardware inside

it's the software that makes the different, software can do alot of things like make battery longer, make things run faster even on a slower processor, make the camera better etc

So I traded in my old 4s and I got the iPhone 6 and an iPad mini for $60 dollars combined at AT&T, and my monthly bill didn't even go up or anything

Did anyone else do this? I'm just really shocked because it seems like a pretty amazing deal and I seem to be the only one I know who did it. Plus my old phone was literally shattered. Like the back glass had hundreds of cracks in it and they still took it

the only benefit to owning a iphone is there trade in program that they do now...only reason i would get a iphone would be because i get a new phone every year for ridiculously cheap

Were you still under contract?

ATT does alot of business with resellers who buy broken or used phones (i have worked for a friend who sells 100s per week to buyers in UAE).
The 4s is still worth a lot in Asian and African countries, you can get up to $250 for it.

Did you get the new mini or the old model?

Plus they make their money off the contract not the device, your gonna be paying it off through your monthly bill, which in the US is crazy expensive

is that happening elsewhere in USA, and UK too right now??

im just back from Seattle at Tokyo right now and its crazy .... so many chinese people are out here from China just to buy iphone lol

wow yea that kind of thing happening at Tokyo couple of days ago, and there were some very angry people saying, buying iphone is not a problem but not let an individual buy 20 iphones at once and let people who have been waiting for days in line go home empty handed.

yea i m pretty sure people who were buying tons of iphones at once are surely going to make profits in blackmarket just like that video.

There are some pretty rich mofos in China

in the last few years they have been spending like crazy specially in the big cities. I used to live in Beijing for 8 years till '10 and just went this summer and everyone was driving a BMW, Audi, Bently etc

After being cautious for many years, the new Chinese gen are spending their parents money like crazy

hahahaha yea economy boom and lot of rich people for sure. There are lot of rich Chinese people who come to Japan nowadays and buy lot of japanese goods.

Today at Omotesando, Tokyo friend of mine went to buy iphone 6 despite torrential rain, and came home empty handed again...

so there is iphone 6 in demand for sure. and thats why blackmarket is making profits

So I went by the apple sstore today expecting the iPhone 6 XL to feel like a sheet of paper, but it felt very solid, much more so than my galaxy s3. I think the bending fears are massively overblown and affects the 10% of idiots that wear a 700 dollar phone without a protective case.
