I am going to save up, but keep an eye on the reviews over the next few weeks before taking a call. Don't want to deal with easily breaking screens, bending phones, antenna or overheating issues, battery blowing up, etc.

Anyway, it makes sense to wait to see what the HTC (<3) manufactured Sailfish and Marlin look like.

I read something recently which made me realize why I was interested in this phone, despite not being an Apple fanboy for a decade. In fact, I have been very vocal against Apple's pricing and branding strategies. But here's the thing: hardware upgrades year-on-year are incremental at best now. What matters more is system and service integration, overall quality, ease of use, etc. and there is no denying that Apple is some way ahead of its competition on these counts.

RG what's wrong with the Note 7 apart from t he exploding batteries? Agree on the S7 though, great phone.

Thats what you get for making the phones thinner. I dropped my 5S like 200 times and nothing got broken. Dropped it in hard concrete, dropped it from stairs and it still looks as good as new.

S7 Edge looks better than Iphone 7 IMO.

5S/SE is the best on the market when it comes to looks though IMHO.

I am old fashioned with phones. I only need a phone for whatsapp, social media and taking pics.

This is why I still plan on getting One plus three

True, 400 is a great price. What do you think about the Huawei P9 / Honor 8? Think they are in the same price range or will be relative soon and seem pretty good aswell.

heard good things about it but I have never seen someone use a Huawei phone around me lol.

HTC 10 and Nexus 6p are also good phones. OnePlusThree beats them all on price and tech though.

My ASUS Zenfone laser 2 has been awesome and it was only like $200.

I'd recommend it to anyone.

Might look into the OnePlus then. I need a new one and I'm not sure I want to pay the price for an S7E. Might wait for the Pixelphone but I think that'll be even more expensive Laughing

Btw I was quite surprised the price difference between Samsung and Apple is still THAT big. I knew iphones are expensive but these prices are madness. And the S7E looks better than the iphone hmm

I don't think they confirmed it but it seems pretty much set. Everyone is writing about the Pixel and Pixel XL. They will anounce everything on Oktober 4th.

I'd say 60% of my friends have iPhones (if not more). Of that 60% I would say half (again, if not more) have cracked screens. Out of the remaining 40% that don't have iPhones I know two people who have cracked screens. The cracks aren't bad--either, they're not debilitating at all.

It's insane.

I've seen my friend's iPhone 6 crack after the slightest of falls. Its ridiculous how less durable it is than the 5S.

I've always used phone cases. Even if it takes a little of the shine away, its worth it in the long term.

It was also a lesson I learned the hard way, tbh. The one time that I didn't have my old Kindle in its case (because I thought it was too heavy ffs), I damaged the screen and had to wait a fair few months before I could save up enough to afford a new one. And my Kindle was my bestest friend in those days Proud
