Wilshere starts for England against Ireland; playing DM again in a 4-3-3.

Gibbs and Theo on the bench.

It's annoying how awful Kos plays for NT... he becomes completely lost.

He wouldn't be the first player to not be able to play as well for his country as he does for his club. It could be a mental thing, or could be he doesn't play well with certain other defenders. Who knows.

Giroud's had a tough game tonight, too. Hasn't had the greatest service into him, but hasn't done an awful lot with the ball either. Off to boos and whistles.

Probably safe to say that it's because players want to go away on holiday at this point rather than play more matches.

So, other fixtures to look out for:

England's next game is a qualifier away to Slovenia on the 14th - Gibbs and Walcott will likely be on the bench again, while Wilshere will get another outing as the DM.

England U21s play Belarus in a warm-up game on Thursday 11th June, before the Euro U21s kick off. Their group games are against Portugal (18th), Sweden (21st) and Italy (24th). Jenkinson (still an Arsenal player for now) will likely start at RB, while Chambers will likely start on the bench.

The Germans play The Americans on the 10th of June, then Gilbratar on the 13th. Actually not sure if Ozil is in the squad or not.

Spain vs Costa Rica on the 11th and Belarus vs Spain on the 14th. Santi Cazorla is in the Spain squad.

Friday the 12th has Wales vs Belgium and Iceland vs Czech Republic; two big games for Ramsey and Rosicky.

The Copa America also starts on the 11th or 12th, depending on where you live. Alexis (and Vidal) and Chile open the tournament against Ecuador. They then play Mexico (16th) and Bolivia (20th).

Jack Wilshere scores his first two England goals, both scorchers, on his 28th cap as England beat Slovenia 2-3. Walcott had a late cameo and assisted Rooney for the third.

Gibbs was pretty bad.

Wilshere has been excellent in every England game this season. Today he showed less of his passing range, but was good defensively, winning the ball high up the pitch and getting the team moving with a simple pass. The two goals were outstanding.

At the moment, the deep role is working out for him very well. England could play France and possibly Spain and Germany next year, so it'll be interesting to see how he does there against much better opposition.

Gibbs was okay but was partly responsible for Slovenia's second. Didn't do nearly enough to challenge the ball in the air; just kind of stood there and let Pecnik climb all over him. Even if he's out-matched physically, he had to do more to put the player off.

Walcott didn't have many touches after he came on.

Colombia lost 1-0 to Venezuela. Ospina didn't look very convincing for the goal. Looked eerily similar to Gomis' goal against us at the Emirates.

For France, Giroud had a bad game and was subbed at half time.

Only just got to rewatch, my stream was crap and Twitter was quite confident it was. So, yeah, no assist for Walcott.
