Arsenal International Watch
Those silly people at FIFA decided it'd be a good idea to have a bunch of international games a mere three days before the start of the season. No less than eleven Arsenal players have been called up and will jet to all corners of the world to play these rather meaningless games.
So let's pray that they all come back without broken ankles or some mysterious achilles injury.
All these games are being played tonight and they are all friendlies.
England vs The Netherlands - Robin van Persie
This game has been postponed because of the riots and looting going on in London. It's just as well, since van Persie has a nasty habit of picking up long term injuries whilst on international duty. Furthermore, van Persie might not have been fully fit for this game so he'll have extra time to rest and get ready for Newcastle.
France vs Chile - Bacary Sagna and Samir Nasri
There's little to worry about here. Sagna rarely gets injured and should come back fine, while I'm sure a few of us would rather not see Samir Nasri playing for Arsenal ever again. In any case, it looks like a tasty fixture.
Ivory Coast vs Isreal - Gervinho
Fully expecting a good Gervinho performance. An injury here would complete his initiation into the Arsenal ranks.
Liechtenstein vs Switzerland - Johan Djourou
Should be a fairly straight forward affair for Switzerland and hopefully Djourou won't have much to do. With Vermaelen possibly injured, we're going to need Djourou less we want to play Squillaci!
Norway vs Czech Republic - Tomas Rosicky
A tough game for the Czech Republic in Oslo. Hoping for a good Rosicky performance.
Poland vs Georgia - Wojciech Szczesny
Expecting a clean sheet for Szczesny.
Russia vs Serbia - Andrey Arshavin
Another good looking game that Arshavin may or may not turn up to.
Scotland vs Denmark - Nicklas Bendtner
Yes, Bendtner is still here.
Senegal vs Morroco - Armand Traore
Traore will make his debut at international level. Not sure if Chamakh has been called up or not.
Wales vs Australia - Aaron Ramsey
Ramsey will captain Wales tonight and hopefully they win and end this long losing streak that has seen them be ranked lower than the Faroe Islands.

Marouane Chamakh is not playing for Morocco? I was hoping he does play he needs some confidence back. It is not all bad, I know some will be tired and for some its a positive thing to play.

Re: Arsenal International Watch
I honestly don't know. Arsenal.com say thirteen players have been called up but I only count eleven. Maybe Eboue and Chamakh are the other two, but they're aren't on the list for some reason.

Nasri has been useless as usual with France nt. Sagna looks out of shape... Having problems by a journeyman player. Clichy has looked good actually.

Re: Arsenal International Watch
Ramsey was subbed at half time. I don't think he's injured; probably Wenger only wanting him to play 45 minutes.

Gervinho is the man, I watched the Brazil-Germany game though, it was very dull even though the scoreline would suggest otherwise
