Decent night for the English lads, Gibbo came on in the second half and Jack had a good game in that deep midfield role again. stunning pass for Ox's goal, unfortunately Wellbeck went off with what looked like cramp. I hope he is ok for Saturday

Wilshere's passing was excellent as always, but a few times he lost out in the tackle and was played around a bit too easily. Against the quality of sides he's been playing against, he'll be fine in this deeper role, but I'd worry about him against better teams. Defensively he's lacking too much.

Still, that pass for Ox's goal.

Chamberlain was okay. Highlight of his performance, besides the goal, which was well-taken, was how well he did tracking the runs of Robertson (Scotland's LB). Important ahead of the United game where he'll be playing against Luke Shaw.

Welbeck did okay, too, but wasn't as threatening on the left hand side. Worked very hard when England pressed. Pulled up in the second half but managed to continue and looked "fine" when he went off. Hopefully nothing more than a bit of cramp.

Gibbs came on for the latter part of the second half and had a relatively comfortable time of it.

Chambers and Walcott both unused during this break.

That was Wilshere's first ever assist for England.

Was really hoping Theo would get minutes and that none of our defenders would be used but then he threw Gibbs on. Thankfully, nothing happened.

No more international breaks until March.

Coquelin seemed pretty relaxed about it in a recent interview when they asked him about France NT, said something about wanting to pace himself and not 'cut corners.'

I like that, proving things to himself still.

I am happy for him. Could make his NT debut at Emirates. Some great coincidence there, probably also played a role in his selection.

Hodgson confirmed that he has we'll know details on Saturday and he'll miss the other international game (on TUesday?).

Not sure if he's out longer.

Hodgson said that his medical staff weren't overly worried about Welbeck's knee, but he'll be just short for Tuesday.

Doesn't sound too serious.
