Brandao in serious trouble
After the PSG game in case you missed it:
He's going to get a year long suspension most likely and Bastia will fire him for cause and not pay his wages if it happens. That was a given.
The bigger issue for him imo is that the judiciary has decided to open a criminal case against him: http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Actualites/Enquete-ouverte-contre-brandao/491622

Deserved.
It's not even football related. Off the pitch, game over. It's a felony and a serious attempt to harm someone.
Should go to jail the absolute coward.

Re: Brandao in serious trouble
give us back Corsica ffs
Sorry for Motta . Probably he will have provoked him , Motta is not a saint, but this can't be a justification of course .
Brandao is a scrub who knocked out in Champions League 2011 to last minute and it will be our last CL match for much time
The only relevant thing made in his life before of this shameful gesture.

So Suarez bites 3 different people yet a 4 month ban isn't justified but 1 headbutt is worth a 1 year ban? Wat?

Re: Brandao in serious trouble
breaking someone's nose outside of a match is more serious than a bite tbh. Should be charged with criminal charges.

3 bites, not 1.
Whose to say Suarez won't one day take a chunk of flesh with him when he bites the next person?

Imo he went for the ball. Typicall Motta made the most of it.
If that was Suarez he'd be let off with a slap on the wrists
U mad?

That's how the law works, at least in Denmark.
What else? You should be allowed to break someone's nose, without being punished?

Yea it's the same law in England. You assault someone, you get punished for it.

No but a 1 year ban for it, is very excessive.

They clearly had an issue.. You can see Brandao talking and Motta walked right up to him so it wasn't completely random
If you just go around the streets punching people in the nose then ok.. But not on a singular event like that..

I don't thinnk it's worth a year ban at all, but one was made in the heat of the moment whereas the other was a premeditated attack. That should enter into the consideration.

I'm just smiling over my coffee, picturing Suarez standing there waiting in the tunnel, only to jump at someone and bite them
and how that CCTV footage would look like

Re: Brandao in serious trouble
I guarantee you that if Suarez had gotten a 6-12 month ban the first time he bit someone... he would have never done it again. When you're looking to eradicate certain behavior, you make the punishment so extreme that people would seriously be scared.
It's like committing a crime in Dubai... you have to be completely crazy to try and become a criminal there. About 5 years ago, two Iranian kids sold some drugs and they got life in jail....

Re: Brandao in serious trouble
they do Hans... but it's very very risky and nobody in their right mind would do it unless theyre extremely influential or associated with someone influential.
They also let certain things go with the expat community as long as it's within reason and kept within the confines of certain places (hotels for example). But that doesn't mean that you're not risking arrest... and if you get arrested, it's over basically.
Dubai is not a moral city at all... far far from actually. Prostitution is rampant for example. BUT, if they crack down on something, they crack down hard and erradicate it. That's my point.
