And once his apparently tiny brain registers that inviting ankle-hurting tackles is not a net positive if you're injury prone, even if it does award your team a freekick, he will go on to great things.
Personally, never been a fan of Jackie boy. Even when he was fit, I thought he was a bit overrated.

People did say Suarez might not be good enough, at Ajax. I remember it clearly being said on here.
And after his 1st Liverpool season, nobody changed their minds I imagine.

Okay, maybe at Ajax. I wasn't here back then. But when he was linked to Barca last summer I don't remember anyone saying he wouldn't be good enough. At most ppl said he wouldn't fit because everyone thought Messi was going to play through the middle no matter what.

Thats true, but im sure Alex was talking not about last season but the previous ones before then.
We was linked to Suarez back then and the vast majority were highly questioning his quality because "its the Dutch league".

Re: Rest of the Football World Thread
Well, as I said, I wasn't here back then but I did some quick research and found this thread: http://www.goallegacy.net/t4098-luis-suarez-was-the-man
Pretty much everyone wanted him as far back as July 2011. Maybe on the old Goal.com forums?
Also lol:
Mole ffs.

Just shamelessly quoted myself with blank space after to highlight the quote.

What do you guys think of Douglas Costa? Seem like life after Robbery isn't going to be to bad with him.
Brazil need to admit him in their squad with him and Neymar on the wings they go their own Robbery.

Re: Rest of the Football World Thread
Douglas Costa seems like a beast.
BTW if anyone wants to witness the 8th wonder of the world, watch Bayern's game against Leverkusen from yesterday. Guardiola conceding the middle of the pitch to play counter attack football at home. The ultimate Cruyffist willingly playing counter attack football.Never thought I would see the day.

It was to be expected considering he doesn't have Xavi and Iniesta in there prime (and Mehssi) to break through organized defences anymore. It finally hit him, like a bus.
Anyway, Douglas Costa is legit. Great player with explosive speed and a lovely technique, just unstoppable.

Guardiola is just learning some lessons from the best (Enrique). Nothing to see here.

Atletico looking out of form
A better team would've toyed with them tonight
Things look pretty good just before our trip to the Calderon

You come to that conclusion after Atletico win 3:0 away at Sevilla ?

Re: Rest of the Football World Thread
They invited pressure in the second half and 3-0 was certainly a bit inflated but that they are capable of winning 3-0 despite that sums them up. Their pitch is also in a shit state. I'm expecting dropped points after the intl. break.
