Rafa will be distracted when he finds out CL champion Lopez is on the market, Roma will be bidding against themselves and then pull out when they realize they are the only ones bidding wondering why nobody wants him Proud

Our goalkeeping situation is a mess imo. Just sell Casillas and Lopez and get an elite GK for €80m. Or keep Casillas and get someone who's happy being a backup.

Casillas isn't going to be happy being a backup to Navas.

Who said he will back up Navas?? Iker is on his last year and does not want to renew from the look of things so Navas is going to be back up this season and starter next season when Iker leaves. Hopefully we win 6 titles so that he leaves on a high and then he can join his brother from another mother Xavi in New York

oh and Navas is elite. Possibly one of the best keepers around and we got him for 90-80 Thumbs up

Doubt we'd be signing Navas just to be a backup. If that's the case, then why not just keep Lopez and Casillas? Lopez is happy regardless of whether he starts or not. He's just being forced out because Navas is arriving.

Best thing to do is leave everything as it is and get an elite GK next summer, or sell Casillas and get an elite GK in.

Iker is leaving anyways and Navas is superior to Lopez and if we had left him this summer Atleti would've snapped him up so it was better to get him before anyone else did

Keylor Navas will have the same problem as Diego, he will be hated for benching casillas. and as soon as he makes a mistake, and he will make one like any other player in a season, people will come down on him with tremendous hate and rage

Ikers contract runs out in 2015, he and Perez have mutually agreed that Iker will leave for free next season. So Navas won't bench him. He will be back up until next summer where he takes over and we get Casilla to back Navas up

They obviously don't have to but they will. Messi is the best in the world but if someone paid 500m tomorrow, Rosell would drive him out personally.

@chad, Iker was excellent last season bar the CL final where I admit we could've been punished but we wouldn't even have been in the final had it not been for him so to speak. Lopez was ordinary at best in the league abd arguably cost us our h2h against both Atleti and Barca
