You don't have the advantage of having all WC players around you at NTs like you do at clubs like Madrid, Barca, Bayern, etc. To me, the pure quality of a player is proven more when he has to deal with imperfections on his team... needs to adapt and compensate + he hasn't practiced with the team all year. Players will hit good form and bad form. They can hit bad form at the wrong time, mind you at the end of a long season headed to the WC and all of a sudden they dont have a good showing. Also to add the short amount of time to build team chemistry, and also needed that all the players/tactics are in perfect hormany for everything to go well. So basing a players value on 3-4 games is pretty ridiculous (lets say the other teams parked the bus, striker struggles to score...doesnt mean he sucks). Not to mention he is the reason both goals were scored vs the USA, so he was able to contribute greatly. I like how you ignored my Neymar comparising, scored almost as many goals at the World Cup as he did all last season (9) for barca. That doesnt reflect accuratley what he can do just cause he had monster 4 games. But whatever; agree to disagree but I think judging a player on a season is more importan than a World Cup

The only person in the General that gives Costa his due is probably Nick. Everyone else criminally underrates him and constantly try to diminish his accomplishments last season.

Costa will do well. As well as the likes of Benteke, Michu, Bony, Lukaku have done. But he won't do anything more.

Who has said that Costa won't do well in the EPL? It's actually a league well suited to him and he ended up on one of the teams that is best for his style. If he doesn't succeed it would be embarrassing.

torres knows he will never make the wages he is currently on at chelsea in his career again. He will ride out his contract and go find a nice club to retire to. Chelsea also gives him exposure so it's nice.
