Also they sold Fellaini and stuff last year; there were then quotes from Martinez about how he was saving his transfer funds to make a big splash or two this summer (as opposed to getting a bunch of players who cost a few million apiece).

Anyway if I must say a thing about Pardew ... I think he is mediocre tactically, but he is good on market . Newcastle usually makes good and interesting signings as this year too , since Yohann Cabaye taken by him in UK
He is not Allardyce basically ( you could have worse, keeping still Allardyce hmm

It's the club Robes, they are trying to force him out because he has one year left. Same with Jonas Gutierrez who Pardew loves but has been told to force him out.

Because he's a yes man with no backbone he wouldn't dare oppose their wishes.

They are a bunch of lying twats, as for transfers Pardew isn't the one in charge.

I agree with Pardew regarding HBA.

When Newcastle had that amazing November last year beating all of Chelsea, Spurs and Man Utd....HBA didn't play at all. He offers no defensive solidity, gets caught out and dispossessed in dangerous areas all the time, and is pretty much non-existent off the ball.

These sort of players have no place in the top level anymore and elite managers know that.

Belgian reports saying it'll be €38mil, while this Guardian report claims it'll be in the region of £22mil to £25mil.

Well... the issue with Lukaku wasn't so much that he couldn't score... he looked absolutely horrible in the WC. His technique and runs were both off-the-charts poor.

It was quite stunning... so you have to wonder about him.
