Arsenal still have Giroud playing upfront, their backup striker is by all means Sanogo, they're yet to sign a top class DM & they've downgraded from Sagna.

Sanchez is a top class signing but lets not pretend Cazorla and Walcott (either of which he'll force out the team) are shit players.

United, Chelsea, Man City have all massively improved so far. As of now, Arsenal will be battling it out with Liverpool for 4th IMO.

Pretty sure Wenger will use Alexis as a 9 before Sonogo.

Why are Liverpool wasting money on Origi just to loan him out? Deals like that should last on the list. Need to think about what's important first imo.

He speaks without knowledge

I would say we overcame the loss of gervinho by buying alexis. Alexis brings two things type 2 striker and wide man with dribbling skills and unpredictibilty. Type 2 striker means the ones which are not used as a pivot like giroud and sonogo. So that doesnot matter if you get any other *class* striker because its the way arsenal play...
A naster stroke by signing alexis

As far as a dm is concerned hmmmm we dont play a dm. We have someone who has cool head and keeps balance bw atack defence. Arteta flamini can play. Both have experience and good positioning.

Rest I feel srry for cfc

Diego costa a designated penalty taker
Fabregas a slow midfield injury prone will cause havoc to mourinho system
Felipe luis well he does turn off alot

So basically there is no surprise in cfc all same all same . The only question is I doubt he would keep his team motivated mourinho is going out this season. My money is here.

Gil is right, without a proper goalscorer that can make the difference in big games, you guys will not compete for the title anytime soon. A DM is important as well, arteta is not good enough, the joke was good two years ago but it aint no more.

So Man U + Herrera + Shaw - Vidic/Rio/Evra/Giggs already are better than Arsenal and Liverpool ? Laughing

We dont need a 40 mil striker if thats what you mean we don't play like that. Its against the system we play. We have got what we need. Any other signing is a bonus.
And last time we had a true dm it was gilberto.

Germany won the World Cup without a Defensive Midfielder. Your argument is pointless. Based without any reasoning.

piggy had one of the most dominant performance in world cup final, anchoring their midfield and winning all challenges coming his way. they also played half the tourney with lham who is an excellent pivot. you dont have any player at their level in that role and comparing germany which played in a tournament to arsenal which compete in a league is terrible lmao

AS: Atletico close the signing of Griezmann for 30 millions euros, bah gawd

We have the same system as germany. No point arguing when you cant get simple things. Time will tell. You a madrid supporter right ?? Last time I checked you also dont have a real dm. Xabi alonso ? Arteta ? Hmmm quite similar.

Arsenal play a 4-2-3-1 though, Germany played a 4-3-3 with Khedira as their B2B DM equivalent.

In terms of Real Madrid, we played a 4-3-3 with hard workers like Modric and Di Maria.

With a 2 man midfield, a DM is needed imo.

we play a 3 man midfield which has nothing to do with the double pivot your use. not to mention that we had modric and di maria on xabi's sides, and they were workhorses. we had balance, and we proceed by counter. you dont.

you make some bad comparisons. for a team like yours that use a double pivotm likes to play high with possession, and will most likely use Ramsey as box to box, you need a holding mid that is going to be able to push up with the rest of your team, while still being able to make the vertical and horizontal moves he needs to slow down counters and cut off attacks. The real bonus is if he is a quality passer as well.

Can't compare Germany and Arsenal at all. Regardless if they play the same system. Too much talent difference.

And I swear I have been reading Arsenal fans complaining about Arteta for 2 years now. And now your comparing him to Alonso once the Khadira isn't coming who also got benched by Alonso Laughing

They aren't "better" but they have a World Class coach and no Europe to deal with.

They're somewhat imbalanced right now but elite talent like Rooney, Mata, RVP, Herrera, Shaw & De Gea is nothing to sneeze at.

Herrera is Ramsey-lite and will do well and Shaw was the best left back in the League last season.

World Cup are 7 matches, it is not comparable to a league of 38 matches. In a whole league you can feel mostly some defects.

Basically Gil said what I had said after Sanchez's signing.

Arsenal has added further quality in " trequarti" (behind the CF) with Sanchez, and this is never a negative thing, but  Arsenal hadn't problems in that field position , on the other hand it played a great first half of season for this reason... while this problem is evident in CF, who remains still a lack. As the DM.
I remember Arsenal fans complained for the whole year about Giroud, rated as not being adapted as starter.

Agreed with Gil tbh. Think we will drop out of the top 4 this season. I mean with a downgrade to Sagna at RB, Chambers as our 3rd choice CB and Sanogo backup to Giroud. Can't see it.

Chelsea will run away with the title with their complete squad. Might be a 10 point gap in October as I can't see them lose a single match.

United with LVG will come 2nd. World Class coach as Gil mentioned. City and Liverpool will battle for 3rd and 4th. Spurs, Everton and an unimproved Arsenal team will get 5th

oh comon now i am not comparing arsenal and real madrid in term of trophies. i am comparing individual players their roles in the systems. there is a difference.

at arsenal we use ramsey areta wilshere thats the same as what madrid use. But when we place cazorla on the left mid. it creates a formation fit for playing possession football. If we start ox instead of cazorla it creates a formation fit for counter attacking.

The real question is that germany real madrid and arsenal etc use a dm for similar role and purpose in the system.

Now the other thing is talent. everybody has his opinion. i am not saying areta is better. i am saying what he does is what is needed at arsenal.

He would have walked into any other national line up had it not been for spains barca project.

We dont need to add a ture "DM" and we dont need a top striker. We can without these signings.

Atletico did it last season.  Surprised
