Re: Álvaro Morata
Nice start,40 days out.He could miss all pre-season at best or even season start.
I said this move would be risky,I'm not saying Morata is a failure due to this injury but the deal wasn't very great as Juve appeared it to be.
Throwing 20 mln on a unproven striker, even without having his playing rights is too much for our economy.
Ex. Barca got Rakitic for 20 mln. There are a lot better players on that value...but we all know Marotta,he likes to complicate deals...all those co-ownerships,witho option to buy etc. and now this new formula,I'm tired of his strange deals as we always end up losing.

Re: Álvaro Morata
morata is a very good player. he hasn't got games for real madrid consistently but having seeing at U-21 games, he was one of the best performer.
one of the things you guys might be concerned is that, under allegri we had so many injuries, and since allegri has brought pretty much all the staff with him, who knows it might follow Juventus too.

That's what I was thinking. During the Conte-era we had close to 0 long-term injuries, but Milan were struggling with tons of injuries during Allegri. I really hope he does not f*ck up our team.

Re: Álvaro Morata
Morata out for 50 days
Juventus have confirmed that Alvaro Morata will be out of action for the next 50 days, after injuring a ligament in his left knee.
The striker was initially confirmed yesterday evening as having sprained his knee, with speculation that if he did not require surgery, the injury would sideline him for between 30 and 40 days.
The Bianconeri have confirmed in a brief statement released on their website today that a morning MRI scan has highlight a second-degree injury to the medial collateral ligament in the joint.
“The prognosis for full functional recovery is 50 days,” concludes the club in their communication.
It is an immediate blow for the 21-year-old forward, who only signed with Juve at the weekend and suffered this injury in only his first training session with the club.

Re: Álvaro Morata
‘Morata, Juve need patience’
Vincenzo Iaquinta has urged Alvaro Morata and Juventus have patience in light of his injury just two days into his Bianconero career.
The 21-year-old has been confirmed on Tuesday morning as requiring up to 50 days on the sidelines to recover from a second degree sprain suffered to the collateral ligament in his left knee.
Whilst coming in just his first training session with the club after a €20m transfer from Real Madrid, one former Juve man who also suffered with injury during his career has urged patience.
“The injury is serious enough, but salvageable,” Iaquinta has reflected to Tuttomercatoweb today.
“Now we have to proceed slowly with the recovery, because for such a stretch we need patience and not to rush.
“The problem is that, if anything, Morata completely skips pre-season and when one has to train alone it can be a little problem.
“Anyway, Juventus have over a month to find cover in the transfer market.”
The 34-year-old was asked of his own hopes heading into the new season.
“For now I am not going anywhere, I think I am done with football.
“A new career as a Coach could open up for me and I’m ready to get started, perhaps even with the youngsters.”

We get to have him 2 years totally ours. The third and forth yr rm can buy him for 30 mil, but there are some clauses.
Every year Morata's transfer fee will be amortized by 4 million euro on Juve's books, gross wages are 4.4 million (via @BennyJFinance)
Say Real Madrid buys Morata back in 2 years from Juve for 30 million, counting the 8 million amortized Juve makes an 18 million profit.

Re: Álvaro Morata
What is amortised? I don't get it.
The news is sad he won't be ready for the nee season sadly... even if he returns back from injury, I wont expect him to play until november

Re: Álvaro Morata
50 days..Seems like he'll be available around September end or somewhere around that time frame.
I seriously hope this doesnt force the mgmt to buy another CF with the available budget. That would be seriously stupid. An AM or a wide player(or someone who can offer both characteristics) would be much more ideal.

He is still by far better and more experienced than anyone that could come for free.
Besides we only need him for a season and he is willing to accept that I believe.

Re: Álvaro Morata
Instead of wasting money on a new striker, why not promote a youth player into the squad, just like Madrid did with morata? Its not like we are morata dependent... he's our 3rd/4th striker. .. we have gio so...

Re: Álvaro Morata
Juventus forward Alvaro Morata has revealed that he will return from his knee injury in around a month after a frustrating start to his career in Turin.
The Spaniard joined the Italian champions for around €20 million last month from Real Madrid but was ruled out for 50 days just a few days later.
However, the 21-year-old believes he is recovering well and could be back in just over four weeks.
"My knee is getting better, I'm recovering well," he told AS. "In about 30 or 35 days I will be ready.
"It was a shame about the injury but I'm working with the physios to play again soon.
"Signing for Juventus has been a great joy, I'm really happy with my new team."
Real Madrid have retained a buyback option in the terms of Morata's sale and he could return to his boyhood club for around €30m.
Juventus are currently on a pre-season tour of Asia and the Pacific.

Re: Álvaro Morata
according to Bozzo in his interview for Tuttosport, even if RM decide to sign him after the first two years, Morata will be the one who'll have the final say in this matter.
