Has he ever told Rio Ferdinand that he's going to hit a tree from 40 yards away, and then hit it?Gil wrote:We're talking about the best passer in the World here folks.

Don't you think one has to see this team on the pitch before making such claims? For all we know this team can finish 4th or 5th or 1st better than your 09/10 team, no one knows how they will play once they step on the pitch.

You do know he was completely misused at Barcelona right? Cesc will reestablish himself as the best AM in the World under Mourinho.

I disagree with the Fabregas was misused at Barcelona stuff. Cesc went there with the knowledge that Barcelona signed him with the vision of making him the lynch pin of their midfield (among other reasons why they signed him). His lack of versatility in the midfield and general sloppiness are what made his short lived time at Barcelona rather lukewarm.
Now you can say that was Barcelona's fault (they do deserve blame for signing a player that honestly wasn't what they were looking for) but at the same, Fabregas didn't show anything to make anyone reconsider his limited positioning on the field.
That being said, Fabregas can become one of the best EPL players (again) under Mourinho.

It may sound crazy but i think Ozil needs to get fat again lol.
the second he became all muscly and removed the belly he lost his magical touch. he lost his balance too.
This Ozil is nowhere near the one who was the undisputed best player in Germany national team and the heart of Real Madrid. i hope he gets back to that.

Aguero. He'll be back in full force this season, my prediction is 20 goals or more from him.

I would say Yaya Toure, but I voted Ramsey anyway because if he replicates his form last season over an entire campaign injury-free, he will eclipse everyone.

I think Coutinho will have his breakout season where he puts it all together and establishes himself as one of the top 5 players in the league, maybe even the best player. 10 - 15 goals and 12 - 15 assists. His throughballs and skill on the ball are second to none.

He was not the best player last year (Ramsey) but unless he has another down year he'll probably be the best player on the team, and in the league (outside of a breakout season from a few other players).
Even though Ozil was found to be lacking for stretches last year he has the highest peak of anyone player in the EPL right now, though there are those that can surpass him (Hazard, Coutinho and Sterling IMO) and those that could have a better season than him. If you look at the whole body of work Ozil is probably the best player in the league right now.

Di Maria is "so overrated" yet Coutinho's the best "10" in the PL in your eyes? Have a word with yourself ffs.

I think it is easily Hazard, but then again most here think Alexis Sanchez is better then him.

It could be Hazard by a long way if he had more consistency, I don't think he is the best, he is the most talented but not the best, yet.

My vote is Matic.
Not the flashiest, but he is by far the best and most important player on the team dubbed the favorite to win the title.

Re: Who is the best player in the Premier League now that Suarez is gone?
Most important doesn't mean best though. For example even though Suarez was the best player on Liverpool last term Henderson was probably the most important player on the team, and probably still is the most important player in implementing Rodgers' style.
I really thought Ozil would stop being so lazy after the WC, but man I would have to change my vote to either Ramsey or Hazard if he can find a bit more consistency.
When did I ever say that Coutinho was the best 10 in the PL? Oh wait, I didn't. Go back to telling people Glen Johnson is an elite RB it looks less silly.

As Fabregas continues to settle in I only see him getting better for us and could easily be in this conversation imo.
