Yep Messi moved to the right for Suarez, he didn't do that for Ibra or Villa.

Pretty convinced Ibra would have been a success had he done so, also easy to forget Ibra was great until Messi started pouting lol.

There's still a debate over who decided to move Messi to the center. Messi, Pep and Tito have all claimed credit for the move.

And I think the move was not so much to accomodate Suarez as it was because the false 9 role was no longer effective. Martino attempted to do the same when Suarez was not around.

Goals assisted he has 10 (8 in La Liga, 2 in CL and 1 in CdR).

Tho he has took part in 40 goals (not including his goals).

I think Messi needed two things, protection and having fun. Suarez brought protection, Neymar brought fun. Villa, Pedro, Sanchez all lacked it. Ibra brought protection but he was too arrogant unlike humble Suarez. He had alpha character, and Messi being alpha in football didnt match up.
I think Suarez biting people helped a lot, such humble guy with that power. You cant hate him

lol protection from what? he had enough protection from their former substitute goalie (i forget his name), whose only jobs were to play copa del rey and leave the bench to fight when there was a scuffle.  btw villa was very good in his first year, he got a major injury in his second and that's when things changed...there was that little incident on the pitch, where messi told him to pass the ball...but it was very minute, the media just tried to make a mountain out of a molehill

protection = keeping defenders occupied. no defenders cared shit about villa, pedro or sanchez. they fear neymar and saurez just as much as messi, it gives them all much more space

It's amazing how Ronaldo's entire career has been about statpadding. Even his biggest asset (taking penalties) lets him down in the big moments (CL semi-final 08, CL final 08, against Bayern 2012, Valencia 2015 ...). Easily the biggest fraud of this century.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves now. He is up there. Just not as high as some people make him to be, but he is *bleep* epitome of hard work and professionalism when it comes to training. And making teams shit bricks at his age is something to admire, especially considering his game depend on physical attributes.

Prime to Prime Suarez is ahead of CR all time that's not even a debate.

Everything about Ronaldo is pure marketing. "Epitome of hard work and professionalism". Really? Another great marketing joke. This is a guy who doesn't track back at all and looks miserable when his teammates score goals. DAT professionalism and hard work. Maybe he trains well. So do most professional footballers at this level.

Prime ronaldo is better than suarez but I think prime suarez is a better goal scorer than ronaldo ever was, is and ever will be..

Also suarez is less talented than ronaldo infact I don't see what he's really better than ronaldo at, but the thing is regardless of such limitations, suarez is a bigger game player which is a huge plus and I'd still choose suarez 8 out of 10 times in my team without even looking back. Currently, in terms of goals at least, Suarez is the best big game player in the world right now, yes ahead of messi and Neymar.

Yes, he might not have all the bells and whistles but I like what suarez brings to the table, the goals, the hardwork, the strong will and God that guy can score a goal even while being shit fot the whole 90 minutes and that's something that I've rarely seeing since the days of ruud van nistelrooy..

While I don't rate ronaldo all that much, ronaldo is and will still be largely considered as the second best player of this generation but that notwithstanding, I'd take suarez over ronaldo again and again.

Ronaldo is about consistency, there are a lot of players that i'd fear more to play against in a decisive match: Iniesta, Suárez, Robben, Agüero, Neymar. Maybe even Muller.
