Re: Quarter-Final: Costa Rica Vs Netherlands
Every world cup usually has at least one surprise semi finalist. So who will it be this time - Belgium or Costa Rica or none?
Re: Quarter-Final: Costa Rica Vs Netherlands
Would Belgium winning really be a surprise at this point? Argentina look very beatable and the Belgians have always been everybody's dark horses from the start.
Costa Rica winning would be a huge upset imo

Costa Rica. Belgium is not a surprise.
Yes, I'm on the Costa Rica bandwagon.

Netherlands for the win! This national team have proven that they can cope with Louis van Gaal tactics, you probably remember that two of their World Cup matches (Australia and Mexico) needs to switch their plans. And it works for them even the player were able to adjust and escape the defence of their opponent.

Yeah I knew he was La Liga's best GK last season but he still hasn't gotten recognition he deserves.
Hope Atletico signs him.

Krul is a *bleep* goat. He was talking shit to all of their pen takers. And guessed all of their shots

that's not cruel at all.
thanks to holland's profligacy , costa rica can say that they went out on penalties instead of what should've been a clear loss for them in normal time.

One has to feel for Costa Rica for such a brave fight that shamed the likes of France and Belgium even more but I have to say parking the bus is blurring the difference between strong and weak teams more and more. Cynically I can admit I am glad that when I stay awake at 1:30 am it will be to watch Netherlands vs. Argentina and not for 90 minutes of parking the bus.

Re: Quarter-Final: Costa Rica Vs Netherlands
the only person i feel for is poor sneijder who saw two thunderous shots hit the post and what's should've been a world class assist hilariously missed by van persie.
he could've been the hero of this match.

Re: Quarter-Final: Costa Rica Vs Netherlands
The fact that it went to penalties was more the Dutch being bad than Costa Rica being good tbh, though I take nothing away from Navas' heroics. They most definitely did not deserve to win however and the advancement of the Dutch is only good for the tournament.

Agreed. This must have been by far Sneijder's best performance in ages.
Re: Quarter-Final: Costa Rica Vs Netherlands
Tim Krul prolly did nothing else but study Costa Rica's PSO against Greece while he sat on the bench. ^^archwooohh wrote:Krul 5/5 in guessing which way the ball went

Re: Quarter-Final: Costa Rica Vs Netherlands
in what world were the Dutch bad?they dominated the match, hit the bar twice and missed a few easy chances.just unlucky, definitely not a bad game from them
