This is the end of my bandwagon for Costa Rica. Got investment in the Dutch. Cmon LvG you beaut do me proud before I start hating you in August.

I'm also out of the CR bandwagon now.Another step on LVG's way to stop the evil from reaching the final

The only team left in the tournament i want out are Belgium.

I'll bandwagon everyone else so not fussed who wins this but Holland should.

From Costa Rica's perspective this can't be a very favourable match-up, IMHO. The Dutch system under LVG should be able to manage Joel Campbell who is their outlet and the Netherlands' attackers' pace and trickery make them quite difficult opponents for Costa Rica's defenders.

Those 120 minutes in Recife won't help Costa Rica at all, either.






This has been a World Cup of surprises though so don't rule anything out.

Nigel De Jong is a massive loss for Netherlands imo . Anyway a tired Costa Rica shouldn't be a hard obstacle... never underrating anyway. of course forza Olanda, I support it after Itally knocked out

I think it will be an interesting game. should Robben fire though, Netherlands will win it.

Netherlands should win this comfortably, easier than the Mexico game, but this World Cup has been pretty crazy so who knows what could happen?

They should start Clasie in midfield if De Jong is still out (he's better than De Jong anyway, but whatevs).

Blind will start there. Martins Indi will play LCB.

I doubt Van Gaal will change that.

Netherlands should get past with ease.

Blind was too slow and really weak in pressing with his weaker foot. Did not like him @ DM. Did not think he offered a lot defensively either.

De Guzman is dropped due to poor form. Fer & De Jong are out.

I hope LVG goes with Clasie-Wijnaldum and with a 4-3-3 with Depay @ LW. Burn Costa Rica on the attack. Costa Rica will sit back with a 5 Man Defense. 5-3-2 is too defensive for them. The climate is expected to be better too.

Get 2 goals and shift back to a 5-3-2, take RVP off and hit them on the counter with Roben & Depay.

Hope to see Kuyt at RWB.

Unfortunately RVP is basically an auto-include despite being often worthless for the NT in big games, and Clasie is undervalued big time. Expect Blind to be in Clasie's place and RVP to be in Hunter's.

It might also be time to bring in Vorm for Cillesen.

It's very probable, yes. They've planned a MRI scan in a couple of days. We'll know more then.
