Re: Diego Costa
Diego Costa says his future lies more with Chelsea than Atletico Madrid, as the striker drops yet another hint indicating his rumoured move to Stamford Bridge is inevitable:
Diego Costa has stated that his future lies more with Chelsea than Atletico Madrid, but he is staying focused on Spain for now and has refused to confirm that a deal is done

"At the moment I am not paying attention to it because I am thinking about the World Cup, but it is clear that my future lies more with Chelsea than with Atletico Madrid."
"Atletico has been my home, my life and I have great feelings towards the club, but things happen in life and one has to accept them."

Re: Diego Costa
Atletico chief: No deal for Costa yet
Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo insists Diego Costa has not yet signed a deal to join Chelsea, but concedes Blues goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois will not be returning to the club on loan.

"We don't know anything about Costa, all we know is that Chelsea have made contact but we haven't received any money or anything else yet."
"Until we receive the money from his buy-out clause, he remains an Atletico player."

Not going to lie, I have my doubts about this guy but then again surely he can't be worse than what we had last year.

Re: Diego Costa
I'm joining Chelsea because they are one of the greatest clubs in the world, Diego Costa says:
The Brazilian-born Spanish international is expected to join the Blues for a fee in the region of £32m soon, and admits he's wanted the move for some time

"Why would I have chosen to play for Chelsea? It is a thing that is about to happen."
"Things are going in a direction and, if they keep going as they are going, it is the team I will play for in the next season."
"I've wanted to play in the Premier League for a while. Chelsea are one of the greatest clubs of the world so there are many factors that make you take a decision like this."

Re: Diego Costa
When he was playing for West Brom he literally drove to QPR to get his all but done transfer over with. But the deal never went through. Just look at his face
So yeah, if Diego Costa fails to sign for us it'd be hilarious in that aspect

Re: Diego Costa
Also, the wording is interesting. It doesn't say we activated the buy-out clause, it says we reached an agreement by meeting the buyout. Activating the buyout clause would have cost us at least 10m more due to spains tax laws, so this is very much a good thing. So thanks, Atleti, for that. No doubt our loaning on Courtois had something to do with it, too.
So more than likely we actually payed 31,999,999 pounds for him.

Read that, to see what I mean about Costa.
Also, if DL4 was sold for 50m, and we bought Cesc + Costa for 60m, how freaking good is Emanelo currently?
