diego costa will be the starter for sure, but i believe negredo is a far more complete CF than Mr. Run and Shoot

For Del Bosque, Negredo is a safer choice because he already has history with that squad. He knows the players, he knows the style, and i think he has better movements overall than Costa. He made a step in his career going to City and he performed flawlessly, that says a lot about him and his maturity.

So if i am del bosque, i play Negredo and i keep Costa on the bench.

Diego Costa's form makes him the clear choice, but he hasnt even played a game and who knows how he will fit with the rest of team.

They play a very different game to Atletico too.

I would go Costa, but Negredo would be "safer".

That being said, anyone else assume that neither will start and Cesc, Pedro and 4 midfielder's will?

Diego costa imo took a huge gamble and might be the unfortunate one at the end of the day. there is no doubt in my mind that he would have been a starter for Brazil or at least play an important role in it.
Negredo been in the squad since 2010 (if i recall ) , i don't see him put on the bench for Costa who kinda comes out of nowhere. Spain's dressing room has been almost the same for 2-3 years mow.

I would take Negredo, Costa and Llorente as strikers and start with Negredo tbh.

4-2-2-2, play them together, like the Villa-Torres combo a few years ago. :bow:

Both Negredo and Costa thrive in 2 striker systems anyway right now.

Negredo is more complete... love his passing ability.. esp when he curls a cross or through ball with the outside of his foot.
