Oh come now, let's not pretend that other nations' rags and papers are any more reliable or less prone to hyperbole in the transfer windows than the English press. It's a continent-wide problem.

Is there a legitimate source anywhere that actually says the right price? I have seen 7 different figures.

Le Parisien says that the fee is approxiamtely 50 mil euros:

http://www.leparisien.fr/sports/transfert-de-david-luiz-le-directeur-sportif-et-le-medecin-du-psg-sont-a-sao-paulo-23-05-2014-3865547.php

l'Equipe says 49,5 mil euros:

http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Actualites/Accord-confirme-avec-chelsea-et-david-luiz/467846

BFMTV (France's CNN) says 45 mil euros

http://www.bfmtv.com/sport/hazard-david-luiz-futur-duo-gagnant-psg-780163.html

My guess is that it's probably 43-45 mil euros now and 5-7 mil euros in bonuses for a total of around 50 mil euros.

Chief executive Ivan Gazidis says Arsenal are in talks with transfer targets - and is "confident" of adding to the squad this summer.

Manager Arsene Wenger is determined to bolster his FA Cup-winning squad to mount a sustained assault on the Premier League crown next season.

The Gunners have been linked with several players across Europe, including former captain Cesc Fabregas who is reportedly set to leave Barcelona this summer. Arsenal are understood to have an option on the Spain midfielder, who is also a target for Chelsea and Manchester United.

Toulouse right-back Serge Aurier has been touted as a potential replacement for the out-of-contract Bacary Sagna, while Real Madrid's Spain Under-21 forward Alvaro Morata is another reported to be on Wenger's radar along with Inter Milan's former Manchester City frontman Mario Balotelli.

While not being drawn on any specific targets when quizzed at an Arsenal supporters' question and answer session on Wednesday night, Gazidis insists there are movements behind the scenes to get deals done.

"Transfers are obviously important and we are deep in conversations already. I am confident we will add what we need this summer," he said.

"The manager is not scared to spend, has the experience, but as always will have to juggle a set budget.

"We are all really pleased with securing Champions League qualification again. Last season was a great experience for players to win the FA Cup and now we want more."

Wenger agreed a new contract extension last week to end speculation about his future.

Gazidis added: "Arsene is impossible to replace. He has given us the footballing philosophy we have now.

"Arsene's legacy is based on him wanting to take Arsenal to the next level, and everything he did and still does is for the future of the club."

I can only speak for Germany, but there's no doubt British papers print 10000 times more complete nonsense than any German paper would dare to, with regards to transfers.

Tottenham have no interest in Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno, according to Sky sources.

Reports in the media on Wednesday claimed Spurs had made a £14million offer for the defender, who is also wanted by Liverpool, with striker Roberto Soldado moving to the Spanish club on loan as part of the deal.

But Sky Sports understands that no such offer has been made, and Tottenham are highly unlikely to let Soldado, a £26m signing from Valencia last summer, leave the club on loan.

New manager Mauricio Pochettino, technical director Franco Baldini and chairman Daniel Levy held a meeting on Monday in which a list of transfer targets was agreed and drawn up.

And Moreno, who just missed out on Spain's World Cup squad despite three previous caps, is not on that list.

Sevilla's president Jose Castro revealed on Tuesday that Liverpool were interested in the 21-year-old but they had not yet received a formal offer.

He said: "It's true that there's interest from Liverpool and we're waiting to see if that turns into a reality, which right now it isn't.

"Whoever wants to leave can do so, but we'll be the ones setting the prices."

Meanwhile, Tottenham are also understood to have no interest in England and Southampton forward Adam Lallana, another reported target for Liverpool.

Not really. Marquinhos can always play CB if needed and they have Camara. Van Der Wiel is the backup to Marquinhos.

I don't think there's a need for a 4th CB tbh.

They have to sort out the midfield and forward lines. If Rabiot wants to leave, you need someone there. I'd also move Pastore if i got a decent offer. You got good kids like Ongenda and Coman that need to get a sniff imo. Pastore is just dead weight.

whatever Pastore is, they will ask too much for him and I dont think anyone will pay like 30m for him. I think some club shoud try to get him on loan, like Leverkusen/Dortmund may be hmm and PSG can hope that Pastore's price rises due to this loan and they can sell him next summer.
