LMAO. DAT public acknowledgement of his choking in the business end of the season.
Surely that's not true. Provide a link.

Arquitescu wrote:Cesc deserves ridicule considering he captained a direct DIRECT city rival of the team he has just joined; his Barça move forgivable (though conveniently having desire right at their peak) yet moving to Chelsea in this context makes it dishonourable considering his comments and the overall perspective of what he's done.
I swear, none of these virtues exist within footballers of this generation who in all likelihood would sell their mother for an extra sack of gold in their safe.
No excusing this move.
All in all a massive upgrade to Oscar who doesn't have an ounce of creativity in his pencil frame.
Can you blame him? We didn't want him anymore that was clear. No other teams outside of the PL took interest in him, so back to the PL it is for him, since Arsenal/Wenger didn't want him he's free to join anyone and Chelsea seemed like the only team who pushed hard for him. Either that or he could've sat on our bench till our transfer ban is over.

^Apparently, Arq thinks Cesc should have just retired since no one else but Chelsea wanted him.

Cesc got the only club which made the move. He has no choice in this transfer window. All the best , hope you get enough time there at Chelsea.
Its funny people showing reactions by burning shirt and quoting his early remarks about not joining this and that Club. Its very unpredictable world out there and he had those three years in his home ground.

Re: Official: Chelsea sign Fabregas
Cesc Fabregas is back in his home . London and not Barcelona . Premier League and not Liga . Atypical Catalan.
I think he is going to be again the old Fabregas appreciated in EPL, also because he couldn't find better manager to rise him again
Selling Luiz to 60 mln to take Fabregas with 33 is an unreal signing.

Re: Official: Chelsea sign Fabregas
Cesc always jumped, people forgot he joined Arsenal at Wenger's peak while Barca was not so hot and this time Barca seems to give up on him and bam jumped again.
I cant believe that player like Di Maria refused to move to prove his worth which he did, and now we have born and bred Cules run away at 1st sign of rejection. I have nothing against Chelsea, they did damn good job with this deal, a bit disappointed but not at all surprised at Cesc decision. Oh well, another Petit, he could be so much more for either Arsenal or Barca but instead we got another merc who will end up at Milan or Inter in 3 years time.

Classless? Put your fake tears away and tuck in your skirt lol
The post on the Barcelona website was merely because shipping his ass out (after him "returning home") required some level of explanation, you know, in case you cant see the obvious issues he had.

I can't agree with this at all.
Even when the likes of Bosingwa, Malouda and Kalou left the club, we never noted their form. We always pointed out their highlights and thanked them for their service, that is all you have to do.
That would be like us writing that Mata was lazy and unwilling to defend, so we sold him.

Re: Official: Chelsea sign Fabregas
Thats not the same.
None of those players "returned home"
Just like the various players who left the club, we didnt post messages like that either.
With Cesc is was different, because there is a feeling around that selling him needed to be justified in some way. Other than just a decision. Cesc couldnt just leave after all that was done to bring him back. I was waiting for some level of explantion.
And on top of it, it was factual, not opinion.

It does seems like humiliating Cesc BTW....unintentionally or not.
Re: Official: Chelsea sign Fabregas
Of course it is humiliating for him, but its also nothing but the truth. It really isnt for Cesc, its for the fans.

Re: Official: Chelsea sign Fabregas
This has to hurt Wenger though. He made this kid really, and Mourinho just called him a "specialist in failure."
Wenger may seem like a broken shell of himself, but the young guy full of pride that he use to be still has to be in there somewhere.

Franchise. The fans should be fully aware of this "fact".
If any an employee is underperforming and gets the sack, I would be shocked if an email was sent around to staff and various stakeholders talking about why they were dismissed. Its tactless.

Re: Official: Chelsea sign Fabregas
UGH...why do people on here insist on comparing football to regular 9 to 5 jobs Brother, its not the same, forget that crap.
Of course the fans are aware, but thats not the point.
I think it's fairly safe to say I am the biggest "get Cesc out" guy on here, but even I was expecting the club to say SOMETHING. There was no chance at all he was going to be sold without some kind of explantion.
As you must know, alot had to happen to bring him here and we lost alot to make room for him. Its his home and it was supposed to be a fairly tale for him, the club bla bla bla...after all that fluff, he cant just leave quitely out the backdoor...someone has to give a reason.

These particular principles apply to any industry, football included.
Just say "footballing reasons" like every other club does. A detailed explanation is neither required or expected.

Re: Official: Chelsea sign Fabregas
This just strikes me as a weird signing. Coming off a season where Mou benched and sold Mata in favor of Oscar, I just find it weird to go after Cesc. I have a feeling he'll just be ostracized after a while
