According to Sky Sports News he's set to leave Barcelona this summer and returning to the Premier League is his preferred option.

Will most likely end up at Arsenal for sentimental reasons.

It'll be weird though. Last thing Arsenal need is another AM.

This although i'd argue pretty much everyone else in the top 4 could use an AM for different reasons.

Arsenal would buy Cesc and sell Cazorla imo... Cesc is a much better player than Cazorla.

We don't need him but i can see Arsene signing him. He loves him too bits.

Definitely can't see Chelsea as Cesc hates Mourinho ( ), and if Mourinho doesn't like Mata for not running his bollocks off without the ball, I can't see it being different than Cesc.

For us, firstly wages will be an issue I guess (isn't he on 150k/week now?) , and secondly Rodgers seems to fancy Ams who press very hard without the ball. Hence the pursuit of Mkhitaryan last season, and Lallana this season.

I can see City entering the frame if they sell Yaya to PSG though.

As a CM, Cesc is better than Santi. Arsenal know better now than to play a CF with Ozil and Santi both on the wings in a 433. It doesn't work as the pitch becomes very narrow. Santi has had a really inconsistent and frankly poor season and has struggled to play in the midfield. Cesc played the advanced CM role perfectly at Arsenal before so i see no reason he can't do it again.

Being poor when played out of position like Cesc has been is not a good indication of ability.

Cesc is a garbage CM and he's no better than Cazorla at it especially in a bloody pivot.

For all Cesc can do they have Ramsey, Cazorla and Ozil for signing him is utter stupidity. Especially when desperately need a striker, winger, DM and a RB.

Signing him would be 100% sentimental, there is simply no logical reason and no matter what way you turn you are moving someone important out of position to make room for a player who isn't required.

Their priorities are DM, RB, Winger and of course CF.

Though, I think Utd are still the most likely. If Moyes was in charge, he would play him deep and it would fail, but LVG is too smart for that, which makes me wonder at all if ManUtd will go in for him after all.

Say what you want about him, he was one of the best in his position when he left Arsenal. I still think he can get back to his best if he joins Arsenal. The problem is that Arsenal doesnt need him , not anymore. I would still love to see him back in Arsenal shirt.

He is a terrible CM but considering the low level of midfield play in BPL he will do better than before.
