Another game with this set-up, and another piss-poor performance so far. I'm really not looking forward to taking on Italy with such a top-heavy team.

Get Wilshere or Barkley on and the balance of the side will improve a lot imo.

This England team is not going to win a single game at the World Cup. Not even exaggerating.

Why are they passing the ball from back 4 to gerrard to play a long punt down someone up top? This team is built for counter attack. This is frankly disgraceful.

Not to mention half the players have no roles in the team. What is Henderson out there for? or Welbeck? or Rooney? None of them have any clue on what kind of football is going to be played.

Roy seems to have given Gerrard the role of becoming a 5th CB while Sturridge is upfront. That's about it.

The team against Ecuador was much better going forward. At least there was imagination in that team and progression. Not this pragmatic and passive approach.

Lallana is the only good player for us.

England need a foreign manager imo. Most British managers just don't have that extra knowledge of how to play properly or how to play technical football.
