I don't think the changes solve Spain's midfield mobility problem. Chile to win and knock Spain out already.

was expecting this sort of a match after seeing Australia in their opening match. Important thing is that 3 points and we have it in the bag.

Superb backpass from Alonso.

*bleep* official ARD live stream freezes half a second before the goal
happens all the time, as if it was doing it on purpose

Re: World Cup: Group B discussion
Spain have been really poor. They are as good as out.
Chile on the other hand have been superb. None atop pressing and full of pace.
My commiserations to arq

Re: World Cup: Group B discussion
As i have said since last year, Spain are at the end of their cycle. They look so lost not playing tika taka. Their attempts at direct football are amateur.

Spain haven't created anything and they're fielding some excellent players who just don't make a great team. Del Bosque has to take some blame here. He has got a range of choices but I think he's still gone with some wrong ones.
However, there's still 45 minutes of football to be played in this match.

Re: World Cup: Group B discussion
All he needed to do was drop Alonso who does nothing but hoof the ball, lose it deep in his own half and hack people down because he's a turtle, play Koke instead alongside Xavi and Busquets, replace Costa with Villa and replace Casillas with De Gea. Instead he drops the best player in Spain history and plays the biggest choker in Spain histroy through the center in David Silva.
