Mexico are better, but Cameron getting there as the game goes on.
The two Mexico offside goals are legit imo. Although you could say otherwise.

That Herrera guy looks like a mix of Di Maria and Gary Cahill.

Re: World Cup: Group A discussion
We really need instant replay like they have in tennis, each team allowed to contest 2 decisions or something. Crap officials have too much power.

Re: World Cup: Group A discussion
ridiculous call by linesman. Mexico getting hard done by here.
Agreed Mexico's def is a joke. Can see Croatia still going through from what I have seen so far. I think they will be more capable of dealing with the physical nature of Cameroon and apart from a few silky moves from Mexico, they don't seem to have much going for them.

Two wrongly disallowed goals and a blatant penalty not given. So it's not a conspiracy for Brazil to win after all. Refs are just shit.

They're trying to eliminate Brazil's biggest rivals from group stages, so their road to glory is easier

I think this will be the trend for the World Cup - the worst officiated WC of all time

Re: World Cup: Group A discussion
That rain is really making it difficult now. I hope the wet pitch will at least provide some comedy as the officials have made me angry. For any team to get into the WC only to having to face such shit refereeing really dampens the atmosphere of the game.

wow, Cameroon have looked **** ... amazing to see a World Cup team have no game plan whatsoever, especially for the opening match that everyone has been preparing for for months ...

Re: World Cup: Group A discussion
The first one he can be forgiven for, it was tight. Benefit of the doubt would be nice but I would hardly call it a shocking call..
The second one is unforgivable though.
Cameroon have look poor. They are only in the game because they are getting stuck in a lot more than Mexico. This is Mexico's for the taking if they stop being such pussies defensively.. They are moving the ball around so much better.

Top line isn't even parallel. Both were legit.

OK..FFS enough - they were bad's calls - why are people arguing the point? Man maybe we should give the refs a break when people can't seem to make a right call after a gazillion replays on the tele.
A) The top line not being parallel actually makes it look LESS onside..
B) Forgive me if I am missing something.. but the second goal was a clear goal, corner taken, ball skims a cameroonian head, therefore dos Santos onside because he was behind the corner taker. What makes it even worse is that even if we forgive the linesman for not noticing it came off a cameroon head rather than mexican, it STILL looked like he was in line with a defender.
Am I wrong?
