Post by RealGunner Thu Jun 12, 2014 11:15 pm

Thought Oscar was the best player on the pitch along with Neymar. Neymar always tried to lead the attack and take responsibility. Fred was a joke all match and Hulk was playing for himself.

Oscar was excellent in everything he did. Great at RW, CM and CAM. Very good technique for the goal eventhough the GK should have saved it

Referee was poor all game, the crowd was clearly getting to him. But you can't do anything.

Great match overall though. Much more promising than 2010

Dominated rofl Is your definition of domination not getting a single good chance after you take the lead through an own goal? It was only after Croatia were trailing that they made meaningful attacks.

Do people not understand that in every sport ever, bad decisions are made, it's not perfect, humans are refereeing, a good team isn't going to have one call decide a match for them, they are able to compensate.

Anyhow, I have never seen such a poor goalkeeping display a world cup in my entire life.

And I have never seen a match with 4 goals in which all 4 goals were utter shit. Absolutely insane. Just an opening game, but Brazil is going to need to step it p... and I dunno what Croatia is going to do if that's their best keeper, I can't see them doing anything in Group A if thats the case. I feel bad, because they had a good team display there.

These kinds of matches don't just rob underdogs of chances.. They rob teams like brazil of getting the chance to win games in legitimate ways.

I don't care who wins in these games. I just want to see fairly called and officiated games.

Croatia were frustrating to watch. You had Modric and Rakitic passing it around. Then Srna, Vrsaljko and Olic etc constantly losing it under pressure.

The 2nd goal wasn't even a pen.

Brazil weren't at their best imo. Croatia could have got something out of the game.

Sorry M99 but that is ridiculous nonsense.

They 'deserved' nothing. It was a ridiculous, terrible dive, Croatia had a goal disallowed.
This simply is not going to work if the referees are terrible like that.
It was a farce already in South Africa, and it's becoming a farce already here after one game.

Penalty was not a penalty. I give you that. But Brazil were the better team by far when they got into their stride.

Why is the Brazil hate so strong here ? LOL Yes maaaybe Croatia could've scrapped a point but it would've been exactly that, a scrappy point. Brazil were all over them.

Chances were much higher and meaningful than Croatia. Forgetting the first half? Paulinho had a close range shot saved, Hulk skied one when it was easier to hit the target, keeper made a great save from an Oscar curler, Neymar took too many touches when he had other players free, Fred went static when a cross was coming at him with an open net gaping in front of him. But no, let's all forget that to fit our agendas.

How many of them clear cut chances? Laughing

Brazil before penalty couldn't create a clear chance for shit. Ref was hugely biased to brazil .it was a farce.

So how much did Brazil pay that ref? What a generous man, gifting them an early win.

-That penalty decision

- That disallowed goal for Croatia

Ridiculous.

Croatia's goalkeeper is horrible.

Oscar was MOTM and desrved a goal. Neymar was great too.

Cesar is shakey. Could be Brazil's weak link.

Brazil started off nervous but gradually got better and dominated the game.

Olic and Jalevic arguing the whole game rofl

Entertaining match.

Your going to ignore this because you don't want to accept it but Croatia hardly created a chance till the last 5 mins and Cesar hadn't made a save till the Modric long shot towards the end.

Brazil were the better team, they created more chances looked more dangerous and deserved the win.

The real question is why is this so called GOAT midfield of Croatia was dominated by f*cking Paulinho?

Also yes the ref was shit but lets not act like Brazil wouldn't have won anyway, they were better and deserved the win.
